If I don’t use all of them can I save them for next growing season or next year?

Absolutely! We do that all the time. Just store them in a cool, dry place and they'll be good to go for next year!

I understand that the raw material is 100% recyclable but what is the process by which these pots are being manufactured? Is that energy intensive?

It's revolutionary. They have won environmental awards for the entire process. Look up further details online for exact information. I suggest to try out CowPots they are great

if I am planting my houseplants in them do I have to wait for the roots to start growing before I put them in soil or can I directly put them in soil?

I have only used the Cowpots to grow vegetables from seed. When vegetables are ready to be put in ground, I put the cowpots (veggies still inside container) directly in soil. The cowpots have always disintegrated over time and vegetables have done well.
