super cute and comfortable
super cute vintage pump style! so hard to find. good quality materials. comfortable. nicely padded footbed. fit well overall. slipped off my left heel a bit as my left foot is about a half size smaller than my right. (easy to compensate for by adding a bit of wool fiber to the toe area.) fit my right size 9 foot just fine. love the rounded toe. does not pinch and cramp my foot like pointed shoes always do. plenty of room in the toe box for my longer than average toes. loved the shoes! sadly had to return as the height of the heel aggravated my bad knee. otherwise, would have gladly kept and worn them. but my knee hurt terribly after wearing them.

Comfortable, classic design
I bought these shoes in taupe and in patent black. I originally found them in Dillard's, but they didn't carry my size (or the taupe color) so I turned to Amazon. Comfort: I over-pronate pretty badly (falling arches or flat feet if you prefer those terms), so I have to be pretty careful when it comes to arch support - I need it, but it can't be too much. These are perfect, and cushioned enough that they're still comfortable at the end of the day. I also have a Morton's neuroma in one foot, which these don't aggravate at all (which if you have one you know that this is a rarity with heels). They DO aggravate a big toe injury that I have, but every pair of pumps that I own do that so I can't really blame the shoes... Sizing: Although I wear size 6 in normal walking shoes (and 6.5 in running shoes fore extra toe space), I almost always wear a 5.5 in heels (I suspect it's because I have a narrow heel). With these I need like a 5.25, because they're just a tad too large. I ordered a package of heel grips the same day (I tried the multicolor pack by Nipoo this time, instead of the Pedag that I usually buy, and the Nipoo ones are very comfortable). The heel grips took care of the size issue for me, so now both pairs of shoes fit perfectly for what I need them for. Another note on sizing - the patent black are a touch smaller than the taupe. I'll wear those with nylons as a part of my military uniform though (sole exactly 0.5", heel 3.0", non-contrasting sole, AND comfortable?! Sold!!!), so it's good that they're a tiny bit tighter since my feet will slip more with nylons on. The taupe I'll wear barefoot, so the skin-on-shoe contact will give enough grip to keep them from slipping. All in all, I'm happy with both pairs of shoes and I will probably buy them in red if my size comes back in stock.

Naturally Pleased
The Naturalizer company is and have always been a good shoe brand. Their shoes are made well! Not only do their shoes look good, they are comfortable to wear. I'm a shoe person, so I do inspect shoes carefully especially when I'm not able to try them on right away. I'm even suspect about the shoe box. You can tell if the item is a return. This box had 2 punctures on the top. There are flaps that when you close the box, they slide into the slots. Well, if you ever had this kind of a box, it's not always easy to open if it's brand new. Well, these flaps are torn some and the box doesn't stay tightly closed. Then the inside. If a shoe have a balled piece of paper in the toe area plus that hooked stick tightly in place (both shoes) more than likely not a return. But when you get a pair of shoes, paper just there, hook stick maybe be just laying in shoe or box, and the paper the whole shoe may be wrapped in wrinkled up, it's more than likely you have received a returned item. I just wished that they whomever or whatever the procedure is for returns, make it more presentable. I received a return item and I didn't have to inspect once I opened the bag. be On the top of the shoe box, was a label of someone else's name and address from another state! Yes, I'm pleased with the shoes. They did not come when they were supposed to Mar 5 - 7 (made order 2/28/2024). The new date of delivery was Mar 18. But the good news, they came Mar.14th. So, because of the delay and appearance of the outside of the box, 4 stars. So depending on if you have any pet peeves,or decide as long as the item isn't damaged, the Naturalizer brand is a good purchase. I believe you will be naturally pleased!

Goldilocks of heels...just right!
I generally wear a 6.5 with a foot that is not technically wide, but on the wide side. I prefer wide in heels and boots...basically anything that might squish my toes in the toe box. I found the perfect size in a 6W. These heels are the best combination of price, comfort and style that I have found. The heels are not too high and they fit comfortably in the toe box without slipping off the heel. Editing to add: After I wrote this review, I thought that I would want another pair in a different color. This pair (black) is much smaller and tighter in the toe box than the previous pair (nude). I can't wear them despite the fact that they are labelled wide and I technically don't have wide feet (just finicky and slightly wide). I'm sending them back. I may try a half size up, but I think that they will slip on the heel. I'm removing a star for inconsistency! Too bad! Edited again after I received the 6.5W in black - this one fits. It might be a smidge long and I'm trying to decide if it will slip. I think that I got one of the last pairs in this size in stock and they had definitely been tried on. The sides were a little stretched but it wasn't so terrible that I wouldn't keep them. I'm still trying to decide on the length, but otherwise, this pair fits. I think that it is a classic shoe with decent quality (some size variation issues) that is just what I need as long as the size is right.

Heel Issues
I’ve desperately needed a comfortable pair of basic black heels that can get me through a work day, and I kept reading that these were great shoes. I loved that they came in so many different sizes, and I ordered my regular size. When I tried them on around the house, my heels began to slide out as I walked. I’ve had this issue before, though it isn’t very common for me. But, no bother, I thought, I’ll try different sizes. So I ordered the same size in a narrow and a half size down. When I tried those, the narrow still had my heel sliding out as I walked. The half size down didn’t slide, and I began to wonder if I’ve just been putting my feet into the wrong size of shoe for my entire adult life. I was a little concerned, though, that they would start to feel too small after some real life wear, not just walking around the house. But, there’s no way to find out but to try, so I did. And sure enough, within the first couple of hours of work, my heel may be staying in place, but the rest of my foot felt like one of Cinderella’s step sisters, trying to stuff a giant foot into a tiny slipper. Having only discovered this once I was out in the real world, there was nothing I could do, these were no longer returnable. So, I then bought a shoe stretcher hoping to solve the problem that way, but, sadly, no. Or maybe my feet are just so scared of all of the pain I have gone through in these things that I just look at them and my feet start to swell. Either way, these simply do not fit. I have to assume that I really am the size I had thought and purchased from the start, but the issue is actually in the fit of the heel of the correctly sized shoe. Unfortunately, it took a large waste of money to figure that out. I have no problem investing in a good pair of shoes to get me through the day with minimal pain, but as a single parent, and a public sector employee at that, I don’t exactly have the spare cash to be throwing around on ill-fitting shoes that will likely become nothing more than an overpriced dog chew toy. I purchased these through Amazon’s Try Before You Buy program, but the real problem is that once you wear them on anything that shows signs of wear, aka for more than just 30 minutes barely walking on carpet, you can’t return them. How are you supposed to know that a shoe will fit properly and well if you can’t actually wear it around to find out? I guess that’s a risk all high heel wearers take, but Naturalizer has always had a reputation for well-fitting, comfortable heels, and in fact, my very first pair of heels were light blue leather ones that my grandmother purchased from Naturalizer back in 1995. They were so comfortable that I wore them constantly, always feeling more sophisticated than all of the other 11-year-olds in the neighborhood. Those may have been a hit, but my adult Naturalizers are nothing more than a huge, expensive miss.

Love these - no break-in period needed
Love these - no break-in period needed. They fit beautifully and are an excellent neutral color (just what I wanted) - not to yellow or pink as some taupes can lean into. Wore all day the first time without issue. Loved them so much, I bought the black suede pair which look great with black opaque tights. Will probably end up with Navy and other colors as well. The heel doesn't feel too high due to the very slight platform. The platform is understated enough not to look like a true platform shoe (which is not work appropriate in my office). The vamp has just the right coverage. This is a classic shoe, I'm pleased with the quality based on price, the fit and the all-day comfort. They are stylish enough to wear in the evening (the black suede almost looks like velvet for more formal events). Appreciate that Naturalizer has wider widths in these.
