Vtech AT2909/CL2909 Corded Speakerphone

This is the second time I've bought this phone. Decided to buy two this time...one, as a spare as I fear they will stop making them.The first one, bought many years ago was repeatedly dropped, the battery cover finally snapped and had to be taped shut, yet it continued to work. The sound quality is excellent and the features are good. Volume control goes from Hi (very loud) to medium and off. If you have a caller id service, it will display the incoming call. I like the fact it has a battery back up instead of plugging it into the wall outlet as there is no need to rely on electricity nor be tethered to a short electrical cord. The batteries seem to work forever. This is a good phone...I speak from years of experience with it. So,If you still need a reliable landline, look no further.

This is the 3rd phone of this model that I have purchased for home use. The numbers and functions are easy to read, the ring is good and the volume is adjustable. The only complaint I have is the caller ID section. I have to tip the phone up towards me to see who is calling I can't read it otherwise. Those numbers and name need to be larger and darker. But, I'd buy it again.

This phone is a good value, with excellent sound quality and lots of features. It has caller ID, a built-in phone book for frequently called numbers, speed-dial, and speaker-phone. Its one quirk, as far as I can tell, is a feeble ringer. It has 3 settings: off, low, and high. "Off" works the way it should: the phone doesn't ring. "Low" produces a sound that is barely audible -- if you're asleep, rest easy, it won't wake you. "High" is also only a little more than barely audible. I keep the phone in a loft above my living-room/kitchen, and when the phone rings, the sound from my kitchen wall phone drowns out the phone in the loft. I can live with this situation since the other phones in my house will always alert me to an incoming call. But if you plan on using this phone as your only one, beware: you may not hear it ring if you're more than a few feet away from it.

It is hard to find a wired wall phone (single line), but after some searching, this ATT phone fits our needs perfectly. It is VERY easy to convert to wall function and fit to the existing mount perfectly. The phone is incredibly easy to program and adjust for hearing levels. It worked so well; we bought a backup for our other phone. While cell phones are great, we like the wired phone in the event of emergency as these usually continue to work.

Do not purchase. Can not hear who is calling. Ringer is very low, can not hear it ring. the caller i.d. is not readable. Sound quality is horrible.

Not good for elderly seniors up in age. They can't make sense of it. To many buttons.

I had to replace our phone after 15 years. I bought the same one because its great!! No complants, works great, does exactly what a phone is suppose to do.

Setup was uncomplicated even for me! Nice weight makes it stable on my desk. Would buy again.
