Great tool to get cv axle removed. Tried using a crowbar for a day. This took the CV axle off in about 5min. The longer extension is worth it too. It helps get the slide hammer out of the way of other car components and smashing your hands. It seems sturdy and should last a lifetime for a DIY mechanic. Used it on a 2010 Mazda CX 9.

Pulled my axle out with no problem within 3 pulls. Be mindful of the axle joint size(s) before purchasing. So i recommend googling the correct size for your car and/or getting a kit with different sizes. My 3rd gen mazda 3 needed the 2.5” axle joint to fit perfectly between the axle and trans case.

The slide hammer worked as it should, only issue I had with it was the tee handle fell out other then that it worked well, I used it to remove my rear axle bearings on my soon to be 25 year old 2001 dodge 3500 van.

Excellent product It was impossible to get the hinge out of place It was stuck tightly With this tool The hinge came out in two minutes. And what's special about this tool is that it has an extension and it's much more convenient to work with the spelling when it's extended out of the vehicle. The tool is also beautiful and very strong

I needed this CV Axle removal tool for just one job that my old trusty homemade was couldn't do. I opened the package and was amazed at the quality and workmanship of this tool. It is very heavy duty and I believe it will last me for a long time. It also came with a foam holder store the tool. It is now my go, my homemade one will just be memories.

VERY UNHAPPY The tool is a used/returned item. The case has greasy fingerprints on it. The tool was not in its original packaging. The case is damaged because it was closed on the tool while the tool was out of position. Priced as new. Disappointed.

This tool was a life saver. I fought 2.5 hours on my stuck cv axel and this tool took three smacks to pop it out. This tool definitely works.

I had some very stubborn cv axles on the Fusion I was working on. Conventional methods of removal were not working. I decided to order up this kit and it worked like a charm. After the 3rd hard pull, the stubborn axles broke free. This kit has everything you need and worth every dollar!

Product performed as it should.

This is a solid tool. The shaft is 0.63" / 16mm in diameter. The nuts are M16. The second shaft engages about 15 threads when screwed onto the primary shaft. This can be important if you're really hammering down on a rusted part. The included nuts "lock" the forks in place so they doesn't just flop down on you. Nice alternative to just using a crow bar to loosen the axle, especially if space is limited. Potentially you could use different attachments on this tool. Both forks are threaded and screw right onto the threaded ends. This set comes in a shipping box with the firm blue foam as pictured and is intended to go into a toolbox drawer. There is no case. Just had to pull an axle due to a ripped outer boot so this is handy to have especially if you're working with jacks and not a nice hoist. Included weight is enough to overcome the sticking force of the circlip that locks the inner joint in the transmission, not sure if you were to use a different attachment and tried to hammer out a rusted bearing but might work.
