PET HEAD Life's An Itch Shampoo

This is perfect for my mini poodle and my Great Pyrenees...it makes their coats nice and soft and shiny. I love the scent and think it’s so fun and it makes my bathroom smell so yummy after bath time. The scent while using is a bit strong but once you dry your dog it’s a nice gentle fun scent and does fade within a couple days and then your dog just smells clean and feels nice and smooth. This is currently my favorite creme rinse for the dogs. I do wish it came in multiple scents though.

I've been using this on my dog since he was probably 6 months old. I tried ordering a lot of expensive products that guaranteed to heal and soothe his itchy skin, but none did, and most smelled badly! Finally I found this at a local store. I hesitated to buy it even though it smelled delicious. I saw it on here, and finally bought one. I've been using the Passion Fruit scented one for two and a half years now. It cured his itchiness after the first use, and I've never tried another shampoo. He gets a shower/bath itleast once a week, and sometimes twice a week if he gets too dirty. I was pleasantly surprised that this is watermelon scented, which I LOVE & is even better than the Passion Fruit one. I'll never use anything else on my yorkie/chihuahua mix! I do also put my hair conditioner on him & rinse it off after I bathe him with this product bc he has a lot of fur. I towel dry him half way, and apply two small squirts of Organix Coconut milk serum. I rub it into his fur and skin, then brush and blow dry. It sounds long, but it isn't. I can do it start to finish in under 20 minutes. Thanks for selling a great product & making my dog comfortable in his own skin again!

Have you ever had a Pillsbury orange cinnamon roll? The frosting this is the frosting in a bottle. It smells great and no wet dog smell after the bath and I wash everything but her face. She's an amstaff so she sheds but is very short haired not sure if that makes a difference. There is no skin irration or stomach irration (since we all know dogs lick themselves more after a bath.) We just towel dry no blowers here (she's a scaredy cat lol) followed up with the strawberry yogurt leave in conditioner (smells like Quakers strawberry and cream instant oat meal) and she is so soft. Left my hands soft and too. They smell great combined. No products have left her feeling or smelling this good. I'd rate higher if I could. Will be my new go to product. Only compliant is that the cute little bone topper should be a pull top instead of a twist off. They can be difficult to manage with an unruly pup. Would recommend and I'm a picky person.

Not the best for really smelly dog. It smells good but it didn't clean like my dog needed. No bitch relief either.

I've been on the hunt to find a good shampoo for awhile now, and for the price I decided to check it out. It smells absolutely amazing and leaves my German Shepherd smelling like berries for days after bath time. I also noticed quite a bit of difference in her coat. It leaves her coat looking shiny, healthy, and silky soft. When I received this product, it had leaked quite a bit along the side of the bottle. After cleaning the bottle and resecuring the top, it hasn't leaked since. I believe the lid was just not secure when packaging. Overall, I highly recommend this product if your in the market for a good shampoo.

Our female chihuahua was having severe allergy issues and, after getting her a medicated shampoo, she was left with dry skin that was even itchier than the allergy! So I looked into this and bought it the next day. Let me say that the packaging is awful, but it's wrapped in plastic so you shouldn't have any soapy boxes... Hopefully. However, the product itself? Great. The smell is heavenly- it's overpowering while you lather but your dog smells amazing after the bath is over. Her dry skin cleared up in two weeks (One bath a week) and she smelled great! As with any bath, if you wash them too much their issue will not go away. The shampoo does its job when it removes oil- but it also removes natural, good oil, from the coat as well. (All shampoos do!) So spread their baths out. One bath a week tops and you should be golden! Also make sure that you only wash a tiny portion of your dog (I.e: The tail) before lathering it completely on them. Some dogs are allergic to certain shampoos!

For the price, this is a decent product but I won't buy it again. The scent is very faint and gets my pups clean enough. It definitely leaves them smelling nice and fresh for the first 48hrs post bath. It does leave their coasts looking pretty dull and frizzy, so I follow up with a leave in conditioner. Note: You may have to yank the decorative bone cap like you're trying to start a lawn mower to get it off in order to reveal the real nozzle underneath. I appreciate that they're trying to be cute, but had I come back and reread the Amazon reviews after purchase, I would have continued to pour the shampoo into my hand which is definitely not ideal, especially if you're dealing with a dog who hates baths.

We recently brought home an Old English Bulldog puppy from the same wonderful breeder where we adopted our six year old Bullie. After his first vet check we noticed was he was scratching excessively. At first we thought it might be the dreaded Mange, or an allergic reaction to something in the house. Off to the Vet yet again! but were delighted to learn there was no Mange nor sign of a skin condition. Having raised dogs my entire life, I know most puppies scratch, this is to be expected. But this poor pups iching was excessive. I have used the shampoo twice now and Elvis had immediate relife after the first shampoo. He still will scratch but it's nothing at all compared to before. Adorable packaging, amazing clean fresh smell and most important of all - a product that delivers on it's promise. I look forward to buying more products from the pet Head line. If you have an itchy dog? don't think twice, both you and your furry best friend will adore this shampoo.

We have had this shampoo before when the dog was a puppy, since then ive never been in charge of procuring dog toiletries, of which there seems to be more of than for me. Anyway i remembered the smell mainly so i picked a bottle up. The Good * The bottle is a nice robust screw on/off one, which is good because some of the other types with hand pumps, squirty bits etc, they tend to get broken when you are trying to keep the dog in the bath, find out where you left the bottle and then apply it whilst sponging. * Bottle size is good, i imagine this might last a good 10 or so washes, i dont remember how many last time and we do use quite liberally. Obviously this is dependent on dog size, and mainly dog condition, in the winter and with fox stuff to roll about in, it could be 2 washes! * The dog is more than fine with it, it must not be sensitive in her eyes, she even licks it off her mouth and face so i can only imagine it tastes very good. * It is super easy to rinse out and doesnt become congealed in her coat as some can. The best aspect of this is the smell, its just a really really pleasant smell and it lasts again depending on what shes been doing/rolling in, a good 2-3 days. * The dogs coat is nice a fluffy, a little bit of shine and easy to brush which are really what this is for so its full marks on those aspects. If there was one thing to say could be better then it would be to make this as a human shampoo, or shower gel, or pot potpourri, air freshener, clothing conditioner.. Its such an amazingly fresh smell! Highly recommended. Five Stars.

Finde dies ist ein gutes Shampoo für Hunde, stelle zwar nur selten aus, aber meine Hunde gehen auch zu Shows und ich muss sagen, das Produkt lässt sie durchaus strahlen. Wozu es aber noch besser ist, ich habe einen Hund, der sich in unbeobachteten Momenten schnell in Vogelkot und anderen stinkigen Dingen wälzt, hatte schon Rreiniger, wo ich den Hund an zwei aufeinanderfolgenden Tagen baden musste, weil der Geruch nicht raus war, hier mit wird er schön sauber und wohlriechend, wichtig ist mir noch zu sagen, dass die Hunde auch danach gut kämmbar sind, das Fell ist geschmeidig und locker, es handelt sich um Cocker Spaniel, zur Info, auch haben sie keine ausgetrocknete Haut.

Ce shampoing est parfait pour mon chien berger belge au poil long ! Mousse très bien et se rince parfaitement, laisse le poil très propre avec une odeur délicieuse de café vanillé :) je recommande à 100% !
