Jack Plate Aluminum Adjustable 8" Outboard Motor Jack Plate for Boat Steering System

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I attempted to adjust the jack plate before installing it. The aluminum adjustbnut stripped. There is no way to adjust it while the motor is mounted. Junk.

Center adjustment bolt stripped through the junk hardware that was provided

Came with holes that were drilled wrong and the drilled again almost overlapping they obviously saw it but shoot it anyway week wasted

the 8 inch alalsetback does not offer 8 inch vertical adjustment

Seems to work. Haven’t had it on the water yet. Really sturdy built. Seems to be a great value.

Solid equipment at a good price but adjusment is difficult. requires taking weight off the device and using wood block shake it free otherwise the lifting device would have faile

I read a review and guy said to check the 4 bolts that hole the plate together cuz his was loose, I had to tighten the ones on this plate so be advised check them! Other than that it mounted up fine but doesn’t slide very well, may have to split the two parts and lube the slide part.

Doesn’t fit mercury tower of power outboards. Had to cut it so it fit
