It's a bit spendy but you get what you pay for. A lot better than the off-brand units (Much thicker). If you have a screen door you need the 5 panel hinge. It comes with screws but you will need a few more to properly secure it. Perfect for Grand Design trailers (The brand we have).

After so many door latches have been broken in the wind we installed these in between the original hinges on our RV door.They were easy and quick to install. They are just fantastic. The door stays open and doesn’t slam unexpectedly. In extreme wind situations we still use the latch, but during normal weather we don’t have to. While it’s very windy it will also protect your door latch. So worth the money.

These hinges are a great addition to an RV without them. Install was about 5 min. They are not as stiff as the ones from my last RV which came on the unit, but they work decently enough. I dont predict they will stand the force of med to high winds unfortunately like my old ones did, but they keep the door from swinging around on normal weather days.

I love the Lippert RV Entry Door Friction Hinge Kit after installation! We had an air closer that ripped out after a high wind. The only thing I wasn't prepared for is how strong the friction is. It was litterally tearing my door apart as the friction force was concentrated on the inside door frame. I fixed it by adding aluminum cross braces on the door. Now the friction is spread across the entire frame instead of just the inside rail.

10 minute job!! So these hinges come with very detailed instructions, but what you really need to know is, unfold the hinges to match your open do configuration. I held the first hinge in the upper middle with masking tape, then screwed it in with one screw on each, made sure the door closed fine, the screwed all of the other screws in place, then the same for the bottom middle hinge. I only used a battery power drill with a Phillips screw driver to drive in the self tapping screws. They gave me more than enough. Make sure you set your drill at a lower torque so you don't overdrive and strip the hole. Super easy!! They work great and they will make your door hinge a lot more stronger.I did it all with a hurt shoulder so you shouldn't have any issues doing it, BUT REMEMBER TO MATCH THE HINGE TO YOUR DOOR BEFORE DRILLING/SCREWING TO MAKE SURE IT FITS. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP!!

Super easy to install. Just line it up where you want it and use the self tapping screws to secure the hinges. Had to have my wife hold in place while I got one started. Have yet to test it out but shpuld work for what I needed it for. I have kids that can't hold onto the door and the wind slams the door into the side of the camper. Hopefully this will solve my issue.
