Bates 3 Pack European Travel Adapter - US to EU Plug Adapter

We bought these as extra adapters to take while traveling overseas. They work great as we can use them with our Apple chargers since they are 110/220. So we do not need a power transformer to step down/up for the voltage and can plug them into any socket. Much easier than bringing bulky transformers that are heavy.

I took them to my trip to Europe, and they worked perfectly.

Recently returned from visiting 5 European countries and this is all we needed. Note - UK requires a different adapter. Also, make sure all your electronics are 110-240 compatible. All newer personal electronics (cell phones and laptops) are already compatible. You have to check on curling irons (newer ones are usually support dual voltage) and hair dryers - but you really don't need to travel with a hair dryer anymore.

Nice and compact and works just fine. Good price. There are two issues: (1) It should be noted that this will not accept polarized US plugs (where one prong is wider than the other, so check your travel devices). This is probably a good safety feature (There are similar items that accept polarized plugs, but that could be dangerous because the other side can be plugged in either way. In a pinch, the slot could be slightly widened using a nail file, not recommended). (2): The internal spring tension is not very strong and the US plug can easily pull out with just a slight accidental tug on the cable.

Short story: this product did what it supposed to do without any issues for very competitive price. Long story: we went on guided tour of some European countries, where they use rounded plugs. Pretty much all of our devices could work with either US voltage (110V) or European voltage (220/230V), so all we needed were plug converters, and not voltage converters (which are more $$$). Plug converter (this product) is very simple device. All it does is allow you to plug in US-based plug into plug converter, and plug converter be inserted into wall outlet. This whole process assumes your electrical device can work with either voltage. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CONFIRM YOUR ELECTRICAL DEVICE IS DUAL-VOLTAGE (110 and 220/230). All electrical devices list working voltage. This device worked very well in multiple countries and hotels. Definitely worth the money.
