Will these hold pencils?

Yes, it will hold a pencil, but it won't stick to anything very well. The peel-and-stick adhesive used is not very strong. The first time you grab your pencil to use it, the clip will come with it.

why the pictures of the blue and green holders? That looks like a different product than the black clips.
