I had a tiny little field mouse that scampered into my five star barn. I did not want anything to catch him that would cause him pain, or kill him, or make him suffer, but I needed something that worked and worked quickly.I looked through a lot of different humane reviews, and even contacted my pest control who did not have any humane options.I grew up as a Disney child and the skewed my views of rodents exponentially. I did not want any harm to come upon my little friend. So after doing a lot of research, I found this on Amazon and figured it was worth a try. The reviews that many people have was great and helpful to decide that I was going to try it.The shipping came quickly, and it took me a minute to figure out how to use it. My little mouse seemed to love sprout pellets, but everyone on here swore that peanut butter is the key. So I did a little bit of both it took less than 24 hours to capture my friend.So here's a couple key things that may help if you buy this.1. It is reusable, which means you can wash it and use it again, so you do not have to throw it away and buy another in the future.2. The end with the spring at the bottom is the opening of the trap, the gate. You will push that down to set it. It will click underneath the piece where you put the food. Although it has a hard click when setting it, the springboard is really sensitive, so if you click the springboard from the other side (even very lightly) it quickly closes. This is also helpful for the mouse to make sure that he doesn't get his tail trapped as the gate closes (One of the reviews said that their mouse's tail got caught in the gate)3. The other side has a opening, but you have to slide it up. It comes completely out and it's a little hard to get it back in, it's kind of a tight fit. When you take this off you will see a piece of plastic inside the mousetrap. On the very end of that plastic piece (the springboard) is where you want to put your food. Put it toward the end, as much as you can to make sure that the mouse is fully on the springboard before it snaps the gate shut.4. Make sure that when you put this trap down, you put it in the path of where the mouse runs. You will know this by where the mouse droppings are.Best product is five stars, it worked for me, and I'm very glad I made the decision to use it. I hope this review helps :-)

It works! It took a few days but it caught the mouse. We spotted this little mouse running back and forth behind the TV in the living room first time in the 58 years I've lived in this house that I ever had a mouse. This was a little tiny field mouse and the only one that we've seen and no evidence anywhere even especially the kitchen that there was even a mouse in my house. so I ordered this set of traps because I wanted something humane, and I ordered a set of ultrasonic repellers and between the two within a few days after setting everything out my sister and I were sitting in the living g room and we heard a snap and this trap caught this little field mouse. Took a ride to a big open field and released it. So now it can live in the field where it belongs. So if you're looking for a Humane mouse trap that really works and is easy to set up and doesn't cost the Earth then this is the one. Thank you

This trap is not worth the effort or time putting it out; after having it out for over two weeks the mice just go around it. Not very effective and lack of catchability. I caught several mice in a trap that uses a rubber ring to take care of the problem. These traps are not even worth considering. If it did work and I caught a mouse in it which I, didn't I would have to put it in a bucket of water to get rid of the mouse as letting it go would just keep the problem at hand.

Mice are cute little things, THAT I DONT WANT IN THE HOUSE!. These traps are a great solution for those that prefer not to maim or kill little animals with spring loaded traps or poisons. Bait these with peanut butter and they are most effective!

I bought this brand because my previous doesn't appear for sale anymore. The traps are of strong quality. I like the slide-up bait chamber removal process more than turning a hinge. The traps are well-grounded. The flip-door holds up tightly. Here's my complaint: the bait chamber is inaccessible to mice. A calm mouse who just ate is better than an aggravated mouse., I used a small handheld jigsaw and a hacksaw to cut the roughly 3/16ths of plastic which is between the scent holes you can see in the bait chamber. I cut downward, it's easy, then use a needlenose plier to break the plastic evenly off, then sanded the edges. Just go along the holes. There is enough plastic along the edges, about 1/4" so that the structural integrity of the bait chamber is unaffected. This allows the mouse to be able to eat because the plank falls on the mouse's weight. Aternatively, if you want the mouse to eat the bait but not make this adjustment, simply place the food right on the plank. I didn't think of that until I had already done this.
