Question 2

For Rehab of a rotator cuff tear, would you use the loop bands or the flat ones?

Accepted Answer

As a therapist, that answer has a lot of variables.  If you had a surgery, your OT or PT should be providing and/or recommending the appropriate choice based on where you are with your tear, age, surgery, etc.  If you don't have full range of motion, resistance to the shoulder should wait until you have more motion but could be used with the other joints (elbow, wrist, etc. are all important).  If you haven't had a surgery, I would always consider an over the door shoulder pulley and absolutely consult with a physical or occupational therapist regardless.  outside perspective.....   Yes I would always recommend flat....but if you have a therapist available, even if it is a consult, they can provide you with the bands they feel are best for your injury and recover.  Your shoulder is the most complicated joint of the body, trust their judgement.

Are there any exercises in the ebook to help with arm and thigh weight loss?

Sorry to say but that's a pipe dream. There's no way to lose fat, except over your entire body. Impossible to lose only arm or leg fat unless through a surgical or laser specialist. Therefore the method is....lose fat period. Build the muscle in the areas you want to target but best to do that over entire body as well. Don't want to be lopsided. The harder/larger muscle  will tighten up the fatty areas and the full body fat loss will thin up the skin. This combo will give you what you're looking for. Remember though, opposing muscle groups are important. If you feel fatty in the bicep area, do bicep curls. However,  doing tricep extensions grows the tricep, which in turn, pulls the skin around it, making it more taught. Common sense tells us that this also makes the bicep skin taught, as the muscles are getting larger in opposite directions. Food for thought.

"Reported data suggest that the average prevalence of latex allergy worldwide remains 9.7%, 7.2%, and 4.3% among healthcare workers, susceptible patients, and general population, respectively."

Bear this in mind if you get a rash, or if someone in your home starts having respiratory problems - latex breaks down and sheds micro-particles into the air.
