Is it comfortable when swimming laps?

Yes I have not had any problem - I dive and swim laps

Does this ride up the crotch?

The first time I wore it-no. The next time it began to ride up on the backside but not the crotch.

Is this suit heavy, thick bc its tummy control? Had a suit years ago, very thick and once wet, it took me like 10 mins to peel that thing off!

It is easy to get on and off but that is because there is ZERO tummy control in this suit. There is nothing here other than a regular bathing suit. Actually, because of the ruching it makes any belly you have (other than the flat one the model has, which is not your average humans belly) look even bigger because it accentuates it. It’s cute but don’t get your hopes up that it will “hide” anything.

Runs big or small in the chest?

It runs very small on the chest. The rest of the suit fitted well. I am 5’8 and weight 162 lbs , 34DD breast, hourglass figure. I bought A large and it was very short on the torso.
