How does one safely use this as pictured if the camera must be plugged in? Where does the cord go? Why isn’t it pictured in the marketing photo?

The cord comes out of the back and plugs into a wall. I would say the camera can only be safely mounted like this when a child can’t sit up and move around to be able to grab it. This mount is excellent for infants before they are mobile

If it doesnt connect with the phone then how we supposed to see the vidoe of the baby?

This is just a mount. You still have to purchase the camera and monitor.
