I'll never know. It is for a grandson about 900 miles away, so I won't get much feedback. But, it looked good because there were pictures of real people and not cartoon characters.

I like the variety of faces and emotions. I use them for my 2 and 3 you with recognizing emotions and communicating their emotions. This product does a great job of that.

I am an artist and I bought these cards for drawing practice. I liked the idea of having a bunch of indexed expressions at hand in order to pull from while practicing or illustrating. I REALLY like the cards. They are incredibly well made and of extreme high quality. The print definition is sharp and colorful and the paper quality is sturdy. My only issue, in using them for a purpose entirely different than what they were designed for, is that the expressions are somewhat ambiguous. I honestly would not be able to accurately "read" many of the expressions. I can only assume that this is by design and is intentional on the part of the academics who designed the product for it's intended purpose. But, for example, cards that are meant to depict "shyness" look to me like "someone smelling something nasty" or "I have owe this person money and we aren't going to bring it up". They aren't the go-to symbols one would use to depict a particular emotion and are instead extremely veiled. But, again, that is probably by design. The product still serves my purposes and I am glad to have received it.

These are beautiful, well made flash cards. Unfortunately, I feel that they did not offer enough variety for my asd level 3 son to comprehend that different people showed the same emotions differently. However I do understand the benefits of consistency for many demographics, these cards just didn’t work for my intended purpose. But that being said, I think that these flash cards have the potential of an assortment of uses for a variety of purposes. That is why I am going to gift them to my son’s speech therapist, as I am confident that she will be able to utilize them in many different ways and will appreciate the various learning opportunities that these, high quality flash cards offer.
