A DIY woodworking project to make it usable (Edit: it's fine now)
Edit: I contacted CRKT customer service and they very quickly sent me a whole new axe, not just a new handle. The new one is great and I have no complaints remaining. That kind of customer service goes a long way.Axe head is cool and looks decent for outdoor use despite being a little narrow in the taper. It's respectably sharp; I could use it out of the box for processing wood or throwing. The handle, on the other hand, is trash. It's turned down way too much; comically narrow. It's dangerous in this state, and doesn't come with wedges or anything to correct it. The finish isn't great either, and I can feel some splinters when I run my hand along it.The price is too high for a somewhat-cool axe head and a DIY wood project to make it usable. Not recommended.

Solid
Takes a beating, balanced well, heavy and solid but not unwieldy.Processes wood well, the head can be removed easily for ferro rods or other more close up tasks, the handle is an ideal length and the factory edge is decent.Consider the other CRKT hatchets as well, as they all are good, but I prefer this one.

It's an Axe, not a Tomahawk
Okay, first the pro's. It is well made and has a protective coat of something on it. Its easy to sharpen and has a hammer poll on it. It is well balanced and yes I've seen YouTuber's throw it. Now for the one down side. The handle it comes with is too short and does not seem to be very strong. So replace the handle, with either a Cold Steel Tomahawk handle. Or, like I did make one out of a Hickory sledge hammer handle. Oh, and make the handle/haft, at least 22 inches long, since this is an Axe. All in all I am happy with it. Oh, and you will need to buy or make a blade cover.

Amazing quality
I thought this is a birthday present for my husband and he absolutely loves it. The quality is exceptional and I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

Perfect fit right out of the box!!!
Ooooo! Now this is an Axe! CRKT has done it again with this beautiful beast! Hand forged, burnt hickory handle with No finish!! I love it. The blade did not come sharp though. I don't know why but every axe/hawk I've purchased came dull, not sharp at all. I wish CRKT would professionally sharpen their axes, but that's my only gripe. I had to do Nothing to this handle! The fit came Perfect! Right out of their lovely packaging! Excellent Beserker axe.

Head and Handle Mismatched
I bought one of these and the head slid all the way out to the very end of the handle and had gaps between the head and handle even then. There was no room to tap the end of the handle to seat the head. Since I use this for throwing it was obviously not going to work. So I returned it and got a replacement. It had the exact same problem on the 2nd one and so I took a refund. I have another CRKT axe that I love so I know how the handle and head are supposed to fit - and neither of these did. Buyer beware!

Handle is not usuable and must be replaced
Head of the ax is nice enough, though it will need sharpening. The handle is an issue though. It was cut incorrectly and the ax head almost slides off the end of the handle. The product doesn't come with wedges to secure the head, but even upon acquiring them the head slid too far up the handle to allow for the wedges to be installed. I will have to find/make a replacement for the tool to be usable.

The head will take a beating before needing to be sharpened
CRKT did this good. The steel is very nice. I chopped up a few logs for firewood with ease. Still sharp. The handle is a different story. It's like an exact fit all the way to the top of the handle, and flush with the head. There's like no room to push more handle through to get more secure. That said, just stake it and add some wood glue. The handle is strong and light. I added some cord and made a handle for it just to get a better grip.
