Now I'm reading reviews and finding out I'm not the only one that had a bad experience with 8G root touch up. The other bad review I found for this product was dated July 2024. I too have been using root touch-up 8G for 10 years and. I bought two boxes July 2025 & both gave me a problem. IT MADE MY HAIR RED!!

This is always my go to when I can’t make it back to the salon, or when money is tight and I just need a touchup.

I want to like this, I really do but I either get poor coverage or orange hair. There doesn’t seem to be an in between. If I don’t leave it on long enough, my roots show and if I leave it on for the long end of the recommended time, I have very brassy-colored hair. I use toner with every wash and it still looks nothing like the box color. Everyone comments on how strawberry my hair is instead of blonde— this seems to be a backhanded compliment on saying my hair looks orange.
