Punch! Master Landscape Pro Version 10

I had an earlier version that was too basic. I upgraded to Pro Version 10 but the program is still not good for detailed work. It is not user friendly or intuitive. It may be useful for visualizing placement of plants in landscape. Topographical feature is poor. Don't wadte your time and money.

Cool software, easy to use and great for figuring out what you want to do.

I recently purchased Punch! Master Landscape Pro v10.0, altho having read some of the reviews I almost decided against this purchase. I'm glad I went ahead, clearly some of the negative comments I've seen are from people that did not take time to read the instruction book or even try the help functions. For example, someone said you could only change two dimensions of a 3D display - incorrect. You can only edit two dimensions at a time, but all three can be modified. There certainly is a learning curve involved, but that's to be expected with any new software.I did find the "masking" function to be cumbersome when importing plant photos (yes, contrary to some reviews, it's quite possible to import digital images and use them in the designs). Instead, I masked them w/Adobe photoshop and then imported them.A couple things - I wish you could organize the plants in both directories rather than just in the custom directory. And I should say that I purchased this for landscaping designs so I've done little with the building design functions.Overall I found the program reasonable and useful to create potentail garden & landscape designs. Great for winter planning and reviewing different options/ideas.

Despite some of the negative reviews I've seen, I'm happy that I purchased this product. Just like any other program that's worth its price this one requires that you read the manual and actually take the time to sit through a tutorial or two. If you're expecting some "do-it-all-for-you-auto-magically" program then this is not for you. If you don't have the patience to learn a new program, then stay away. If however you'll take the time to learn how to use it, then I think you'll be very happy with what it has to offer. If you're an experienced user and are comfortable with programs like Photoshop, any CAD program or other design software then I think you'll find this rather intuitive and easy to use. It has certainly been worth the time I've spent with it and has allowed me to achieve my goals of designing my decks and gardens. It was exactly what I was looking for.

This product is NOT intuitive and there is no reason for it not to be. I tried very hard to use it when I first bought it, and now regret throwing the money away.

When I reviewed the colorful box showing many useful features, I was especially interested in the Photo Editor allowing one to do a virtual makeover from a photograph. I fiddled with this program for several hours, and was unable to: 1) find any reference to the Photo Editor in the inch-thick manual (although it was inaccurately referenced on the Help screen), 2) download any photos from my digital camera to use with the program, or 3) contact anyone at Punch about my problem, because I could not find any reference to a customer support web site or phone number (tech support is mentioned often, but how to access them?). When photo editing failed, I tried to access other features and found them difficult or impossible to use. I found this program to be a complete waste of time and will try to get my money back.

This is the most difficult program I have every tried to use. I can't get it to do anything. It's nearly imposable to draw with it. You can render your image, but it will take you hours it get it to display the rendering.It's absolutely the worst.
