I thought I would try Salivea for my dry mouth issues after reading reviews here. I also purchased the Salivea Mouth Wash for dry mouth. I have only been using both for about 2 weeks. It probably has helped somewhat, but truly very little. I see people have complained that it has no foam and is runny. That is true because it doesn't contain the chemical Sodium Lauryl Sulfate which isn't the best thing for us. So I will accept the runny quality. SLS can also contribute to mouth sores. And I find that since using the Salivea, I have had zero mouth sores. That is a secondary benefit. I do wish the toothpaste had more of a minty flavor. It has no flavor in my opinion. The mouthwash, however, has a nice minty flavor. I will continue to use this till the end of the tube and then decide whether to reorder.....Okay it is 2 months later and I now am changing my 3 stars to 4 stars. This toothpaste has really helped my dry mouth and I have not had a mouth sore for the two months I have been using it now. I used to have so many all the time. I reordered today!

So soothing for dry mouth. I spit it out rinse and it still works. I’ve noticed a difference throughout the day now. I went back to my previous toothpaste one night and noticed how harsh my old toothpaste had been compared with this. The thing that surprised me was that my old toothpaste didn’t get my mouth any cleaner than this. This toothpaste cleans well without being harsh.

Know what you are getting, or you will be disappointed. I have been on the hunt for a gentle toothpaste that does have fluoride but not sodium lauryl sulfate and has a very mild mint flavor. This is the best I've found. SLS creates the thick foam we expect from toothpaste but irritates the inside of my mouth and leaves it very dry. My daughter gets sinus congestion from SLS. Problem is that SLS is in almost all toothpastes, even a "natural" brand like Tom's. Salivea has a very gentle mint taste. that doesn't burn. Good for children or others with sensitivity issues. Don't buy if you want a strong minty freshness. Also, it does not foam at all because of no SLS. It is a bit too sweet. I am very happy to have found this brand.
