Is this made in China???

Made in China. Lodge is made in the USA and weighs 7.5 lbs, this "Austrailian" weighs 7.04 lbs. The lodge is a little heavier.

Can it be used on induction stove top?

I use cast iron on my induction stove nearly every day. I've had the stove for just over a year. No scratches at all.

The handle looks like it could be plastic, is it? What temperature can these handle in an oven?

No it’s all cast iron. I season them at 480 degrees for one hour. As high as your oven will go

What part of the skillet is actually 12.5 inches? Is the outer diameter of the widest part 12.5 inches? Do the little lips at the ends make it 12.5?

The bottom of the cooking area is 10.5" and goes up to 11.75" at the lip. If you measure across the two little pouring clefts at either side it is 12-3/8".
