Recruit Swiss Army Knife, Medium, Multi Tool, 10 Functions, Blade, Can Opener, Red

I love the Recruit. After the Cadet I think this is my favourite 84mm. It feels so much nicer in the hand and pocket having the clean back by not having the back tools like the corkscrew which I find uncomfortable which I always hope I might use but never do. While back tools don't take up much more space, for me not having them makes the Recruit feel more minimal, simple and special. It's just enough tools to get you by. I find the larger blade on the 84mm is perfect for opening letters. And I prefer the stronger tools on the proper opener layer vs the combination tool on the Bantam and Waiter. The can opener is great for scraping things and the screwdriver is a surprisingly good 2D Philips. And the bottle opener is a great little pry bar. The Recruit is one great SAK.

All you need in an everyday knife. Sure some of additional tools may be useful but then one tends to get into the bulky and heavy to carry around tool. I find this to be the best compromise ensuring I can do most little jobs I come across in one package.

Slightly smaller and lighter than the standard range makes it all the more pocketable. Blades sharp out of the box and are slightly shorter than the ones in the standard range but that hasn’t been an issue for me. I’ve 3 other versions of this make of Swiss army knife but this is the one I use and carry around most.

I've had this pocket knife for a while now, and it's indestructible and reliable. I always keep it in my pocket, attached to my key, and it's helped me in many unexpected situations. Definitely worth buying

A necessary replacement for one I lost. If you need a penknife - this is a really good one.

This is a great knife and with non-locking blades under 3” it’s good for UK carry. I also have a similar knife with a corkscrew (the Spartan) but being a bit of a cheapskate, the wine I buy has a screw cap so no point really. For the price on Amazon I’d highly recommend. Just make sure you’re at home when it arrives because they’ll need to check your age.

I bought this to keep in my toolbox and it does the job very well. 2 blades a can opener and 2 flat bladed screwdrivers plus tweezers and toothpick. What more can you ask for. It’s beautifully made and has all the quality you expect from the brand. Perfect for gardening or taking on a camping trip
