Good Bowls for Making Ramen in a Dorm Microwave
I don't know what to say, but, good bowls. They can easily go in a microwave and heat up my ramen and water for it to cook. Never leaks, very durable. My trick to microwaving ramen (if you have the square block pack kind). I fill the bowl up with water, and I mix the seasoning in. I take the ramen, and break it half. Usually the ramen I get breaks in half to make two thin squares, instead of one thick square. I put them in the water in the bowl, and then I lay a sheet of paper towel on top so the water doesn't overboil and spill in my microwave. Then I put it on for a minute, take it out, and kinda stab the noodles. I usually use chopsticks, as they are sturdy and slender, perfect for stabbing the blocks to break them apart. Then I do what I can, stick it back in for a minute. Take out, stab again. Back in for another minute. Take out, stab some more. Then I take the noodles and scoop them around and unravel them, because by now you could eat it, but it's not as soft as I like it to be. So, I go for another 30 seconds, take it out, and stir it all around around with my chopsticks, and it's perfect to eat. Now it's really hot, which is why I go the extra 30 seconds, because it makes it hotter, because I hate cold noodles. Hope that helps someone out. :) Easy way to cook ramen in a microwave.

A Real Winner in Your Kitchen!
These bowls work well for anything that you would use a bowl for. They will hold one 16 oz can of soup and I use these a lot for my work lunch when I take a soup. You put your meal in this to heat your food in the microwave, eat your meal, then toss it out. It is biodegradable so it will not harm the environment. They work well as a disposable pet dish or when working with paint. They will hold hot liquid as well as the coffee cup version will hold a hot cup of coffee. Or at least I've never had one leak or absorb the contents of the bowl. They are fairly deep with a good size rim which makes it easy to hold the bowl without spilling. Very cheap to purchase and a real winner in your kitchen to save time and the effort to clean up a single bowl.

Super convenient, save time scrubbing dishes
These coated paper bowls have been a lifesaver as I recovered after major surgery for a year. Standing for long enough to wash even a few dishes was painful for month. Being able to microwave oatmeal, chili and other things that make for messy dishes in these paper bowls and then tossing them in the trash has been a wonderful thing. For an elderly person who gets meals delivered or who only wants to heat a little soup or even frozen vegetables without dirtying multiple containers, these bowls are a treat. They also eliminate the worry of breaking bowls that may feel slippery. There is a nice lip on these paper bowls that one can grip which my normal dishes do not have, so despite the bit of flex since they are paper I feel more confident in gripping these bowls. My elderly father was able to help me after my surgery without tiring himself with washing lots of dishes or worrying about slightly shaky hands gripping slippery China. He could easily make a single serving of cereal, frozen meatballs, soup, or frozen veggies using these bowls and place it directly on the serving tray without the worry of things rolling off a paper plate that will flex. Once I was up and using a walker with a snap on tray to get my own food, these bowls worked better than paper plates because there was no chance of food shifting (especially concerning with hot items) as I rolled the walker.

New parents don't want to wash dishes!! Get these instead!
When we were preparing for the arrival of our first child, we stocked up on disposable plates/bowls/utensils/cups because the last thing we wanted to do when we were exhausted zombies was wash the dishes! After a little looking around, I decided on these bowls because of the positive reviews and I was not let down! These coated paper bowls are pretty impressive! They are very sturdy and hold up to both cold and hot foods. And they can hold a good amount too! They are cut resistant and are microwavable safe (within reason). They are much more rigid that the cheap store brand kind, yet these are very comparable in price and get delivered straight to my doorstep! They are soak proof and can be rinsed out for multiple uses, but we just used them once and tossed. All in all, I would definitely recommend these sturdy Dixie Ultra bowls!

Pretty strong. Dependable. Holds a can of soup.
Pretty strong. Works fine for soup or cereal for immediate consumption. However, if you try to store liquids in these, they will absorb it and begin to soften in a short time. I've never had one break. Solid food does fine in these. Fairly roomy. Holds a 14 oz. can of soup comfortably or an extra generous bowl of cereal.

Was worth waiting for
I had forgotten I had even ordered these due to the long wait time, but they are for sure worth the wait. I've served everything in these bowls including soup and have had no leaks or collapses. Very good product, but I would expect no less from Dixie.

Great for Salads
I provide a salad bar at my church's monthly Fellowship Lunch, and these bowls are great--lots of people love salad and want more than the little 12-oz. bowls can hold. I've been getting these large 20-oz. bowls for a while now, and people love them. I can't always find these in stock in my local grocery stores, so I'm delighted to find them here. I have them on Subscribe & Save, too, so the price is good, and I don't have to remember to try to locate them each month. (And I've now found the Dixie DEEP DISH plates that I also provide for those who REALLY like salad; if you haven't tried them, I highly recommend them.)

I keep these on hand
Often we have needed paper bowls and so I ordered to keep on hand. They have always been sturdy and hold up well with ice cream and cake.
