This solar/battery pack weighs a pound but it packs a punch!
While this unit only has one USB port and a single USB-C charging connection, it's proven it's worth dozens of times over during the few months that I have owned it. I would have also liked a micro-USB connection and a second USB port, but I wonder how those would have impacted this battery pack's performance. (Sorry, I'm not an electrical engineer - would multiple ports generate too much heat? Incidentally, this item does feature a simple overheat indicator if your solar charging is too aggressive.) Whether you're plugged into an AC outlet to recharge or relying on the capable solar panel, it takes a while to get a full charge, but once achieved, that's where this Anker product really shines (literally & figuratively). The end has three LEDs which together feature high, low, or 3-flash signal settings, lighting up a campsite, roadside tire change, or indoor living space with a wide-area radiant glow. I can easily charge two Anker flashlights, an iPad/Kindle, a Bluetooth headset and a smartphone, with plenty of power left in reserve for more phone recharging and the ever-present solar panel always willing to contribute more. A couple of anchor points on the outer casing would be a welcome addition to allow for attachment to a pack or dashboard with more than a built-in lanyard. In the end, this is a solid investment in mobile power. It could benefit from a couple small improvements, but really the only drawback I foresee is weight - don't pack this for your ultralight backpacking adventure! If you're on the fence about this one, take a chance - Anker has made a great one and you'll find it worth the price! FWIW, save it to your shopping cart and wait for a sale price update, perhaps during Cyber Monday or Amazon Days. Got a great deal this way!

Anker PowerCore Solar 20000: Because Who Doesn’t Have a Whole Day to Sunbathe Your Charger?
Ah yes, the nker PowerCore Solar 20000—a power bank that proudly flaunts its solar charging abilities like it’s the next big thing in portable energy. Spoiler alert: it’s solar-powered, so if you’ve got about a day to spare, and maybe a mild obsession with staring at the sun, this little guy’s for you. With a massive 20,000 mAh battery, it promises to keep your devices alive through multiple episodes of doom-scrolling or binge-watching cat videos. But here’s the kicker: if you want to juice it up with solar power, better pack a lawn chair, some snacks, and maybe a good book—because it takes a whole day of sunbathing to get a decent charge. Who knew charging a power bank could double as a sun therapy session? Dual USB ports mean you can charge two devices simultaneously—which is fantastic if you have two phones, or one phone and your burning patience. The 18W USB-C port is speedy once the battery is charged, but getting it there via solar? Let’s just say it’s a slow love story between the sun and your power bank. Bottom line: If you’re planning a desert island getaway or trying to perfect your patience skills, the nker PowerCore Solar 20000 is your dream companion. Otherwise, maybe just plug it in and skip the solar spa day. 5 stars for ambition, 3 stars for patience, and 1 star for convincing me I’m a part-time solar panel.

Many many phone charges but some minor issues
Power pack is a beast. In testing, charged my iPhone 4 times and my iPad pro once, still showed one dot of power. Took forever to charge to full capacity, actually stopped charging at three dots overnight. Unplug/replug and it finished. Same issue with phones, they get up to about 85% then the power bank stops charging them. Unplug/replug and it brings them up to 100%. Using an anklet usb to lightning cable. Usbc to usbc apple did fully charge iPad pro on the first try. Not sure if the incomplete charging is a safety feature but I need this rugged power bank for a week-long camping trip this summer, so hopefully it holds up until then. A bit pricey but Anker is a great brand and worth the extra $ for quality over the who knows where they are made companies (China). I’ll try the apple lightning cable next to see if it can charge the phones fully - maybe the anker cable is loose. Overall good, I have no expectation that the solar panel will do anything, I can’t even figure out how to know if the panel is charging the battery or not. Instructions are typed in 2 pt font. AnkerHead for life!
The PowerCore solar 20000 is a beast! It's huge and high in capacity. The first thing I noticed upon unboxing was the build quality. It is well built and solid in construction, it feels great when holding it in my hands. The unit came partially charged with 2 of the 4 blue battery indicator lights illuminated when I powered it up. It took approximately 6 hours to fully charge via my wall charger. After fully charging, it charged my old Samsung Note 8 via the USB type C port (Not solar) from 64% to 100% full charge in 37 minutes, the unit charges pretty fast through the onboard USB type C port. I have not tried charging through its available USB A port or solar yet. The LED flashlight a cool feature in itself. The lights are nice and bright but not blinding. The only drawback for me is the dust cover that protects charging ports from dust and debris is a little tough to open. If you are like me and you like keep your finger nails cut short, it is a little bit of a struggle to open the dust cover on this device. For those that have an older device like my Samsung Note 8 with USB type C charging port, I'm pretty sure this power bank will work for you. My phone was not on the compatibility list in the product description but, this unit charges my Note 8 just fine. Overall, I am super pleased with purchasing the PowerCore Solar 20000 and I look forward to using for backup emergency use or for hiking, camping fishing trips with the family. Another fantastic product made Anker.

This thing is a beast
I purchased this battery bank before a recent trip to Mexico. I took it with me to Cenote Maya, Ek Balam and a few other places while I was there. I charged it once before I left and it had enough juice to allow for charging my iPhone 12 Pro and iPad Air a couple of times on the plane, in the airport and on the go before the battery was down to one dot. It's VERY well built, the flashlight feature is nice and I've used it a couple of times. I used the solar feature while at Ek Balam just to see how well it worked and I'm sure it added a little power back to the battery, but as other people have mentioned, it's going to take a LONG time to charge the battery using JUST solar. It's a little heavy, but I expected that since it stores quite a bit more energy than other batteries the same or similar in size. Overall, I consider this to be a really great purchase and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good battery backup that can charge multiple devices while on the go.

Great for traveling!
Excellent quality, which I have come to expect from Anker products. Provides 4 to 5 full charges on iPhone 8. Solar re-charge is slow, but it will get you going.

Risky Purchase
Purchased this as a birthday present for a friend who came to visit me from Europe. Said friend used it for about 2 months and only needed to charge it again on 3 separate occasions before the powerbank refused to charge and it's charging light just blinked instead in frequent intervals. And since this item was purchased in advanced for their birthday and is now in the EU, I have no way to get the warranty honored. This power banks design seems faulty and incredibly unreliable considering none of my other Anker products ever had this issue. And since this product is supposed to be heavy duty, durable and reliable when doing things like biking on a trail and yet it dies after going on a few walks with it? I gotta say it's the worst Anker product we've ever owned and are incredibly disappointed.
