How deep is the whale spout?

The Spout Cover is about 4.5” tall, so the depth within the whale is about 4”

The color in the photo does not match the color in the description. How can I make sure I get the correct gray color?

Change the abbreviated descripton that's at the top of the page: it says "size (inches): 30l x 15.5w" really? 30" long? that's almost the tub length.

This info online is incorrect. It is actually about 7-8" long. On my daughter's tub, it went from the wall to over the end of the faucet. The hump area of the whale is about 3" tall. It slides onto the faucet through a hole under the curved tail and the water comes out of the whale's "mouth" area.
