The pump working better than original one. No more annoying noise from the engine bay. I purchase new my Silverado 2016, after 5000 Km. I notice a ticking noise coming from the engine . Dealership told me is normal after 3 years my warranty gone and the noise become stronger until vacuum pump failed and no more breaks. I replace the vacuum pump, no more noise the breaks are working perfectly.

BLUF: OEM Part, No issues with install or product in last 3 months I had all the tell-tale signs of a failing vacuum pump for my 2016 GMC Sierra (90k miles) so I decided to replace it BEFORE it grenaded and caused a whole host of other problems. After ordering I became more weary of this possibly being a knock-off or aftermarket, but I was pleasantly surprised when I received it and it was 100% OEM. NOTE: This is the end of the product review. From here on it is install info and tips. I can’t really say anymore about the product except it’s OEM and it works like a charm. Install was approx 2 hours and 3 beers and went pretty smooth all said and done. There are a couple of YT videos out there that were helpful, but there was a step-by-step on a forum I grabbed that was the most beneficial (I will edit with a link if/when I find one.) I would recommend removing the intermediate and lower steering shaft, this will make your live so much easier. I would have been done an hour earlier if I hadn’t been stubborn and not wanted to mess with the steering shaft, but it’s super easy and straightforward to do so (just make sure you use a paint pen to make indication marks so you get everything back together correctly.). Since you will be removing the stretch belt on the pump, make sure to get a new one to replace it with (along with a removal tool) and get a new vacuum line as well and check whether yours is stainless or not. As an aside regarding the belts, I’d recommend replacing the serp and the A/C belts too since it makes your life easier to get to the vacuum pump and you might as well replace the other belts while you’re at it.
