How much water does the system use to flush all the contaminants. My present system uses 3/4 of a gallon to produce 1 gallon of clean water.

The system has a 1:3 ratio. So, for every one gallon of clean water, there are 3 gallons that are expelled. We found that this ratio provides the best contaminant rejection as lowering the ratio to 1:1 or 1:2 would result in lowering the system performance in removing contaminants and also shorten the life of the filters.

how much room does it take up under the counter?

Sir, you can remove the Stage 4, 5 & 6 canisters; then remove the clips for the Stage 4 canister from the housing; then install the housing & Stage 1, 2 & 3 canisters on the side wall of your cabinet; then install the removed clips to a board underneath your sink; then hang the Stage 4 canister to these clips & the Stage 5 & 6 canisters attach to the Stage 4 canister. Mine is underneath a farmhouse sink which has very little room underneath. No problem.

Is it possible to add uv light to this system? how much would it cost?

I have the same question. I already purchased the ROES-PH75 back in 2017, and love it, but need to get some new filters I think and wondering now about the UV add on.
