Amazing matte finish! I'd painted some figures with thin acrylics and they left a gloss sheen. I tried a different brand of matte which was just as glossy as the paint. On a suggestion from a friend, I tried this and what a difference! Knocked all the shine off and gave it beautiful matte finish. Easy to brush or apply by airbrush, well worth the money. Dries quickly and goes a long way.

Bought this for when I need matte on some of my piece, and gloss on other parts. (I spray anything that only needs one or the other). It works as exactly as intended.

This stuff is wildly matte. I honestly wasn't expecting it. Once sprayed on (no thinning needed at all!) It dries SUPER fast and is so matte it almost gave my Tamiya F15 a soft suede feel. Overall great product, maybe a little pricey. I might be able to get 3 or 4 models out of this. I seem to have gone through almost 1/4 bottle with doing one coat of it.

I have been a Testors Dullcote user as my matte varnish brand for years (decades really) I had noticed more recently though, depending on the type of paint/addition I would use, it was leaving more shine than I'd like. It seems to me the old recipe for the matte was changing. I decided to give AK Interactive's Matte varnish a try. It can be used easily through an airbrush, but I like using a brush. After waiting for to dry, I was surprised by how well it worked! Dead flat finish. That was more like the Dullcote for years ago. It really improves the look of my model. With miniatures detail is very small, even a slight sheen of gloss will not allow all the details to be noticed. With a dead flat finish, there is no glare to distract from the colors I've chosen. It just pulls the miniature together more cohesively and is a great benefit to photography as well. AK Interactive is now the only Matte varnish I will use.

it’s pretty good for reborns. takes several coats but it’s cheap and available on prime so i rebuy.

I saw a miniature painting tutorial that mentioned mixing this 1:1 with Contrast Medium and painting the mixture over minis when finished painting, then letting dry 20 min before sealing spray, in order to give it a matte finish without "taking the life out" of the mini. It absolutely worked! My mini came out looking much more real than my initial paint job. It's thin but easy to apply and not too drippy. I didn't need much to mix and cover the whole mini. Will definitely be using again!

Das Zeug ist der Hammer, ich habe mein Reborn Baby damit versiegelt und bin mehr als zufrieden, die stellen die geglänzt haben sind nun Matt und sie sieht viel besser aus als vorher, eine klare Kaufempfehlung!!!

Tenía otros barnices que decían ser mates pero éste de AK marca la diferencia...

Excellent, does exactly what it promises - saved a paint job where the varnish came out shiny, I just painted this over the top and it solved the problem.

Ottimo prodotto, da non utilizzare sui metallizzati in quanto oscura completamente i riflessi, ma sui colori normali a mio avviso fa un ottimo lavoro
