These digestive bitters are a lifesaver when it comes to digestion especially of fats and meats. They taste a little bitter but my family actually has come to crave the taste. It helps so much with some family members who have liver/gall bladder issues. We just feel better overall and can tell when we forget to take them before our meal. I love most everything I have tried from Dr. Mercola and I trust him to make high quality products. I have several of these around the house to remind different family members to take them even when eating in their bedrooms.

I purchased this item because I was hoping it would help with bloating and overall digestion. I take it sometimes before/after meals, but I haven't observed any noticeable difference. When the product arrived, it was a little bit oily on the outer bottle. However, the product itself was sealed, so I believe it is fine. The taste is very herbal and a bit bitter. Personally, I enjoy this taste and use the dropper to take the product on the tongue directly. I think mixing a few drops in a glass of water would work well.

I like how this is a organic option. Anytime my stomach isn't digesting well or I feel like my stomachs been upset a lot I turn to this. I think it makes a big difference and really helps. Great price and last a long time really. The taste is not good but that's just how most medicinal tinctures are.

Very strong but helps with digestion and stomach

It works for me. I had gall bladder surgery a few months ago and I use this before a meal and in between if I have indigestion issues.

I got this and was very surprised to find that it is sweet tasting. Digestive bitters are called bitter for a reason. Putting anything sweet in it is counterproductive. Per Google Mechanism: Glycerin is a solvent used to make alcohol-free bitters. While alcohol is better at extracting a broader range of compounds, glycerin-based bitters can still be effective. Absorption: Glycerin has a higher viscosity, which slows down the rate at which bitter compounds reach the receptors on the tongue and in the gut. Dosage: Studies indicate that glycerin-based bitters may require a 3–5 times higher volume to achieve the same immediate salivary stimulation as alcohol-based versions. So you would theoretically have to take 3 to 5 times as much of this to achieve the same outcome. I think I will shop elsewhere. or try making my own.

I did not open the bottle. First, I read the label, and was horrified to read highly potent herbs listed. I called Amazon customer service right away and discussed the danger of the herbs to me. The agent asked if I had opened the bottle and used it. I replied no, the bottle is unopened and the package is intact. On that basis the agent told me to throw away or give away the product as is is not returnable but they will credit my Amazon account for the full purchase price. The refund came in three hours. I highly recommend that you NOT open the bottle when you receive it, and google each ingredient and herb that is listed. On the basis of your research, then make a decsion whether you are able to ingest this item or not. As for me, I learned from this experience that I MUST read the label more carefully and read all detail listed BEFORE I order. Apparently, I missed too much when I read the label before I ordered it.

I will say after a month of taking it my digestive system is feeling better and I am not bloated. I ordered another bottle.
