The fda limits quinine to 83ppm, but everywhere else the concentration(even schweppes) is ~200ppm. what is yours?

The bottle is 32 ounces. Top Hat recommends 1 ounce of syrup to 5 ounces of sparkling water. This syrup has a great spicy flavor without being overly sweet. I usually just add a good splash to my cocktail so a bottle lasts me quite a while.

How do you calculate 60% less sugar? if it is 11 g /6 oz of mix. Most tonic is 16g /6 oz. that is a reduction of 30% not 60%

I actually use 1/2 to 3/4 oz. - the 1 oz of syrup has 11 g. of sugar. Canada Dry Tonic has 35g. of sugar in an 8oz serving. I usually end up with about an 8 oz drink 5oz of seltzer and 2 1/2 oz gin and 1/2 to 3/4 oz of syrup. So your drink sugar will depend on how you make it. Fever-Tree Naturally light Tonic has 8 g of sugar for a 6.8 oz bottle, its a very good tonic for a diet drink because they use much less sweetener than regular tonics (fructose). I use Top Hat for the unique taste. I guess it depends on the brand of tonic you use what the actual sugar difference there will be.

How do you make tonic water like you buy in the store?

It requires either premade soda water or a Soda Stream system plus the Tonic syrup.
