Hands-down the best small pocket flashlight out there.
This is my go-to pocket flashlight now.Specifically, what I'm looking for in a flashlight is output, ease of use, price and a small profile.Output: It's not blindingly bright, which is a good thing. A lot of flashlights will ramble about lumens and candlepower, like those are the only metrics that matter. I've had flashlights that have a "high" setting, and I mostly found them to be blinding. The primary purpose of tiny lights like these is to inspect small items or enclosed spaces. You really don't need hundreds of lumen to do that. One other thing that I feel compelled to mention about this particular light is it's 'spot' output. It is mentioned in the description, but seeing it in person is impressive. I've never seen another light that puts out such a sharp, consistent beam. It is a perfect, evenly-illuminated circle. You don't have to shift the light around to get the "hotspot" in the right place, because the entire output beam is the same level of brightness. It's really attractive and is honestly one of the reasons I love these little lights.Ease of use: This might sound like a strange thing to comment on with a flashlight, but the thumb button is the superior method, in my opinion, since it allows for easy, one-handed use. The twist-to-activate method is nice, but the thumb button is so much superior. My only complaint in this category is that the light does not allow you to "hold on;" it will only toggle. This makes flashing a signal sort of difficult, but it is a minor thing. One other thing is that it is billed as "water resistant." This does not mean that it will survive a dunk in water, as I found out to my dismay. I dropped my most recent one in the tank at work -- merely DI water, and only a few inches deep and only for as long as it took me to swear and pull it out -- but the water got inside and corroded the internals to the point it would not work any more.Price: I've owned fairly expensive small penlights like this. And then lost them. I suppose I am still a 5 year old in some respects. And, as mentioned above, they get damaged. And I feel no guilt about having to replace a small, 10 dollar flashlight. The 50 dollar titanium one, however... -sigh- I'll probably get a few and keep them in my desk for when I inevitably lose them.Small profile: The light is tiny. It fits easily in hand, and disappears into your pocket. I keep mine in my back left pocket, and I forget that it is there sometimes. Other lights, like those cheap, $3 ones, get the job done, but they are enormous and uncomfortable to carry. The G19 is only slightly larger than the battery it carries. So, I'm going to buy an armful of these little guys and keep them around, because they are simply the best. I think if you get one, you'll think so too.

Hands down best budget AAA flashlight
I don't know why I didn't see this light reviewed more outside of Amazon. For the price, this is an absolutely smashing flashlight. It has the performance of a proper light maker and costs little more than the plastic POS you can buy at CVS. Takes a standard battery size, has good output, weather resistant, and even has a reversible clip. A few notes:Size: Objectively, this thing is 1cm longer and maybe 1mm wider than my Fenix LD02. For some reason, this seems too large for a AAA flashlight. That said, it is exactly the right size for my hand to grab, so that is strictly a matter of preference.Optic: This has an "inspection optic" and will project a flat, circular beam. This is not my preference. I prefer a brighter spot and some lighter flooding. That is a matter of preference. The flat circle is, however, not that flat. It has a lot of distortion in the form of lighter and darker areas. Not perfect, but optics cost money and this flashlight doesn't, hardly.Clip: Great clip. Grasps the flashlight with authority, grasps your pocket with authority, easy to clip on and off, reversible. After reversing the clip on this light I see no reason to ever put it back. You can get it in an out of your pocket without accidentally turning it on and it carries deeper. I never wear a hat, but if you do, you can clip it to your hat and you have a headlamp. Useful!Fit and finish: Don't look too close. At a glance, it looks as good as a Fenix or surefire, but if you look closely at the optic you might notice some excess glue that squeezed out and when you unscrew it, you can see cheap plastic and poorly machined aluminum. Still screws smoothly and keeps water out, though. Inexpensive anodizing. This is a better tool than it is jewelry and you know what? That's just fine. This cost less than a third the price of my LD02 and in some real ways is a better flashlight. Buy one, put a lithium AAA in it, throw it in a drawer somewhere, and have reliable light when you need it. I think it'd even make an excellent EDC if you're not looking for the absolute smallest package possible and the (totally respectable) 54 lumens is enough. At $9 there is simply no better flashlight.

Greatest little flashlight
An incredible little flashlight, you'd have to have no soul to not be a little fascinated by how bright and sharp the circle of light is. It's tiny, fits in your pocket easily or clips to your belt (although the clip is flimsier than it looks), and I have had no issues with the battery at all. It's sturdy as they come, too. I literally dropped one into a burning fire pit and fished it out (because I was afraid it would explode or something), and it still looks and works like new.I have one for around the house and for travelling and everyone who comes into contact wants one for themselves - and it's cheap enough to give it to them and just order another! The ONLY shortcoming is that the button, which used to be metal and is now rubber, is a simple on/off switch. Other Coast models will light up temporarily with a half-press and stay on or off with a full press, which is a nice feature.
