Great product at a great price.

I used this Forney 70421 Double Loop Chain to hang some air cleaners in my shop and it worked out great. The chain releases nicely from the roll without snagging, cuts easily with a pair of end cutters and felt good and solid with a 40lb load on a single chain. Very happy with the quality of this Forney chain.

5 stars because this seems to be quality, well made chain just not what I was looking for. The sizing info was less than adequate. I was looking for something the size of swing chain and best I could tell from the picture and sizing info, I ordered this. It’s really small chain and I will find a use for it. Like I said, good quality just way smaller than I needed.

My photo/video studio has most of the lighting suspended from a steel grid that is attached to the studio ceiling. I'm using this chain to make safety loops, to prevent any lights or hanging items from falling accidentally. It's a backup, in case something should fall free of the steel grid. Using safety chains or cables for this is common for theater stage lighting, so I have adopted this practice for my studio as well. I have no light stands or cables running on the studio floor either. These chains are looped around the steel ceiling grid and a fixed portion of the studio light using a spring snap hook to attach the ends together. Electric outlets along each side of the ceiling grid puts an electric outlet every 6" and within 5' of wherever I locate a light on the grid, so it's easy to keep the power cabling off the floor as well.
