Good question. These handles will work on virtually all Andersen windows as Andersen has kept the spline (the geared portion the handle fits over) consistent. The style may clash a bit if you have primed casement windows. My anderson windows were installed in the late 1960's. I need new handles. Will new ones I purchase work on my windows?

Although the handles I purchased are for windows newer than 1960, they work fine. Make sure you use appripriate part for your windows. I checked in Andersen site: https://www.andersenwindows.com/support/how-to-find-replacement-parts/

How long is the distance between the spline and where it starts to angle off? The ones I am looking for are 1 inch.

There are three different 3/8=inch replacement handles for Andersen windows (3966, 0532408 and 17360)-which one works for a 1980s-vintage window? Any?

My house was built in 1986. I used the 0532408 and they fit perfectly
