New Look Sewing Pattern 6889 Misses Dresses, Size A (8-10-12-14-16-18)

Liked the pattern, easy sew! I relearned how to make a bias binding that goes around the neck and arm holes. So glad I relearned that. I shortened the dress, make it 3 times and getting ready for a 4th. Works great in the So. California summer heat.

Versatile pattern, can be adapted in many ways. New Look patterns are usually a simpler pattern, but the same quality as simplicity or vogue.

Good option for a beginner dress pattern, or a quick sew for someone more experienced. I've made one sleeveless in a lightweight denim and one in a med/light jersey, and both were pretty simple. I did staystitch all curved/bias edges on the denim, though the instructions only say to do it to the necklines. I also added stay tape to the jersey one. Just make sure your fabric has a bit of drape to it. The denim I chose wasn't quite as drapey as the pattern, so it looks a little like a jumper, but it's still cute. In fact, I think it's possible to make it a size larger out of a less drapey fabric and wear it as a jumper. Overall, I recommend this.

I am just learning to sew, and I wanted an easy dress pattern. This is it! It offers three different type dress options/lengths as well. Arrived in a timely fashion and as described.

I don't know about 2 hours, but it is an easy pattern. I like that it has different sleeves and lengths you can use. I made it a bit big but was able to adjust it to fit the way I wanted. I will do another style of dress using this pattern
