Clear sound and on point timing
This is by far the best microphone I've seen and used

Works with a smartphone, and is excellent for singing apps.
Originally, I purchased the PreSonus Revelator Dynamic USB Microphone. I was very impressed by the sound quality. I am not sure why some called this a toy. Prior to purchasing this mic, I sang on the Starmaker app. Compared to using the mic on my Samsung 24 Ultra, this mic is such a huge improvement vocally. It cuts out the background noise. I even tested it with a fan. The audio was clear. THIS does work with smartphones! However, it did not come with a c to c type USB cord. You will need to purchase that separately in order to use it with an Android. Also, to hear yourself singing or any audio track, you must also have earbuds/headphones inserted into the mic jack. The Dymnamic is perfect for someone wanting to set up a studio where you can quickly plug and unplug your smartphone/device. I have not tried using the software yet, but it appears to have everything I would need as a beginner/intermediate singer. The Dynamic IT is large. I was not anticipating the size. It definitely needs to be used with a mic stand. I also purchased the PreSonus Revelator USB Condenser Microphone, which will be arriving within the next week. The Condenser mic I am hoping will give me more portability. I travel to and from work, and so I am hoping it will be just as easy to use. #Sound Quality, #Plug & Play, #Easy of Use, #Value for Money.

The Ideal USB Mic for Podcasters and Musicians: PreSonus Revelator
The PreSonus Revelator is a standout USB microphone that delivers professional-quality sound with impressive ease of use. From podcasting to streaming to music recording, it strikes the perfect balance between versatility and performance. Right away, I noticed the clear, crisp audio it captures—vocal recordings come through rich and natural, with minimal background noise. The built-in DSP processing, including compression, EQ, and gating, is a game-changer for those who want polished sound without complicated setups or extra gear. The microphone’s sleek design and durable build make it a great fit for any workspace, while the plug-and-play USB connection means you can get started quickly on both Mac and PC. The onboard controls give instant access to gain, mute, and headphone volume, which is super handy during live sessions. For content creators and musicians alike, the Revelator is a reliable, high-quality mic that elevates your audio without breaking the bank or requiring a steep learning curve. Whether you’re recording vocals, podcasts, or instruments, it delivers professional results with simplicity and style.

A great value, with unlimited sound potential.
I have several XLR mics and audio interfaces for my podcast and YouTube channel, and I am have used many USB condenser mics over the years as well. I wanted to test out a USB Dynamic mic, but didn't want to buy the cheap-o brand, and didn't want to buy the very expensive brand either. This Presonus fit perfectly in the middle, so it was worth a gamble. I also have both Revelator audio interfaces, so I was familiar with the software behind these devices. But I was curious to see how it integrated with the Dynamic mic. I'm happy to say that you can basically fine tune this mic much like you would with any other PreSonus interface or pre-amp. The only difference is, you can simple just plug this right into your computer without needing another device on your desk. It's semi plug and play if you want. But then you can go into the software and setup your four presets, which are accessible from the microphone itself. You can also adjust the gain right from the mic. Very handy! I'm very happy with the mic, and it will be put to the test for my next few podcast episodes!

Possibly the worst device ever created
Awful software. Rarely works on my computer, even after changing drivers, changing computers, etc. It almost never boots properly, the headphone out frequently fails, requiring reboots and or replugging the USB jack. If I screw around long enough, I can usually get it to work, but it requires an extra half hour to hour of setup every time I want to use it, and the solutions are unpredictable and non-repeatable. The mic sounds OK, IF you can get it to work. Their tech support has not been helpful at all, and of course, but now it is far after the return period. DO NOT BUY THIS MICROPHONE.

OMG I LOVE THIS THING!!
My podcast was suffering with bad mic quality after iTunes discontinued the Bossjock podcast software. I'd used 19" studio rack mounted gear prior to that, with expensive mics and patchwork software. This mic solved all the problems. Try to find the Youtube of Sweetwater's extensive review of this product. It comes with software that is fully configurable and works so well - it's really shocking how good this setup is. To top it off, the company has a TON of amazing Youtubes on How to for Studio One recording software...which is also included - with a ton of great plugins - for FREE with the mic!!! My only complaint is that the cords going into the bottom sucks very bad for the desktop stand that they include. They need to come out the back because this setup is terrible. But that is the only negative I can say after using this for about the past 15 shows of The 12-Step Buddhist Podcast. Check it out, the sound is great because of this mic!

Grat device but horrible software
I love this microphone as it is nicely made, solid and well built. Although it has some flaws. First of all the connectors are on the bottom, which is great; but the base is very short so I end up often bending the wires; which add stress to the connectors and I imagine in a bit this will take a toll on the connectors that will break. Not sure what was the deal to make the base a tad taller. The other problem is the software: not Studio One, which is awesome as DAW; but the software on the mic itself. When you plug it in it does not remember the last settings; so you end up with the effects always enabled, no matter what, and need to explicitly turn them off every time you plug the mic (you can say let it plugged in? That would work if I had enough ports, but I need to swap the USB-C port with other devices, so I just plug it when I need it). Beside those issues, the mic works great; and there are a lot of interesting effects to use and settings, but the training material/manual is totally useless. I can see why this mic is heavily discounted, but that does not mean that it is a bad mic; as it works great.
