No,there is no drainage holes in the bottom of the pot.

How heavy does it get after adding plant plus soil, can it still be hang from ceiling?

Yes. It’s small and made of lightweight material, but it doesn’t actually hold all that much soil. We have it hanging from our ceiling with just a small ceiling hook, and it’s doing just fine. Hope this was helpful!

Where do I get a liner, which the seller says is needed? For the $33 charged, one should come with it!

No liner comes with item. I just found a small plastic planter that fits inside the planter. Planter container is not large at all.

Can you buy extra chain?

There is “no” chain, but I guess you could add a chain to it.
