How do I get it to lay flatter? It’s been well over a month and it still doesn’t lay flat.

Does it really stink?

No my runner didn't have any odor at all. I put it right down at my front door. I did have to put a carpet pad underneath because it didn't grip and it would move. But Iove it. It was just what I wanted.

Is the rug actually cream and black or is there some grey in it

The one I have is black and white (not a bright white) and I don't see grey in it. You can return if you don't like it but this rug is one of the best I ever had, I love the design it is very unique.
