Charles River Apparel mens Pacific Rain Poncho

I really love this poncho! It doesn't have that plastic odor. I fits nicely, with the arm snaps keeping it in place. The hood is a nice feature. As far as ponchos go, it's nice looking. It's easy to fold back up to store in the carry pouch. I attended 7 outdoor concerts this past summer in Colorado, where the weather is extremely unpredictable. This poncho allowed me to enjoy the concerts, which would've otherwise been rather miserable, as we got rained on at every single concert! I saw people purchasing, what appeared to be garbage bag ponchos from venders in the parking lots...and probably for the same price as this poncho. I felt pretty good about this purchase then, no doubts about that. Oh right, and this poncho is super easy to put on and take off in tight spaces...like stadium seating, which is another requirement for the intermittent rain. I also carry this poncho when I go hiking, as it's super light weight. As far as durability...I'm not even seeing any signs of wear after a full season of use. 0Seriously, it's better to have this poncho...and not need it, than not have this poncho...and wish you had it! Being caught in the rain, without a poncho...just sucks. For what this poncho costs...not having one is kinda silly. Even if you don't need it, you can rest assured that if that sky opens up...you'll be okay ; )

This poncho was the perfect solution for my rainy football games and tailgating needs! It feels so solid, much better than the crappy garbage bag feeling ponchos at the dollar store. It has buttons in the appropriate places and feels very secure on me. The hood has nice drawstrings that allow me to achieve a snug fit. The waterproof material has a satin feel to it and not rubbery and the inside has a nice meshy feel to it as well. This helps it from clinging to your skin as the cheap ponchos do. You can also "remove" the arms holes by undoing the button and making it sleeveless. I find it very practical and useful!!! The navy blue color is very nice as well!

I purchased this based on the reviews and looking for a better options than Gore-Tex jackets. Tired of how they wet-out or got wet inside due to perspiration. Once concern I had pre-purchase was the sleeve length - only covering about 3/4 of your arm. First impressions when it arrived: Packed size is bigger than expected. Think of a sweater vest that's folded into a square. The case is this size. I had been expecting a small 'fist-size' type storage option, but the material is fairly think, making that impossible. First wear - was very impressed! Great ventilation, felt dry in a 1 mile walk in pouring rain. It fully covered my backpack (work not camping). Sleeve length was NOT an issue but a big plus! If you want to use your arms, stick them out of the buttoned 'sleeves'. The shorter length keeps the poncho out of our way. If you want dry hands and forearms, pull your arms into the 'sleeves'. That worked great! Lower legs obviously got a bit wet, but as I held out the front to extend outward, it was only the very lower leg and shoes that got wet. Much less than would have happened with an umbrella or a rain jacket. Once inside - this is when what would have been a 5 star rating was reduced to 4. As I looked myself over, I found my shirt has a wet spot. I had buttoned both buttons and had the hood fully on. However, water flowed into the neck seam and onto my shirt. Overall I think this will be a good poncho and better than other options. I just need to figure out how to prevent the neck leak. For the price it is very well made and a great option. Suggestions for the manufacturer: 1) revise the design for the neck. 2) consider changes in the material thickness to support smaller size of packed poncho. Great job overall. Suggestions

I've had trouble with my shoulder and needed something to wear in the rain that was easy for me to get in and out of in the car. This poncho is the perfect solution. I've used it this week and it works great. It's well-made with reinforced tabs around the arm snaps. I like the fact that the material is backed to make it more sturdy. I'm 5'5" and the length is nice. It's long enough to keep me dry but not so long I'd worry about tripping on it. The sleeves are short above my wrists which is nice to me because I need my hands free. If it was raining super hard I could always pull my arms in. I noticed people complained about the smell of the material so I hung up the poncho overnight when I first received it. Within a few hours, the smell was gone. The poncho arrived quickly and was just as described. I chose the navy and am pleased with that color. My daughter has already asked me to order one for her. I also like the small pouch that was included with the poncho. This will make it easier for me to store in my car. I'm pleased with my purchase and would recommend it to others.

Vorab zur Info: Ich wollte eigentlich einen kuschelig-warmen Fleece-Poncho und bin, ohne dass dies in der Artikelbeschreibung erwähnt wurde, davon ausgegangen, dass es sich hier auch um einen solchen handelt. Es ist allerdings ein reiner Regen-Poncho aus einem dünnen Kunststoffmaterial, das innen mit einem dünnen Gewebe verstärkt ist. Ich habe ihn trotzdem behalten, weil er mir sehr gut paßt, er optisch ansprechend ist und - soweit auf den ersten Blick erkennbar - gut verarbeitet zu sein scheint.

Meu filho queria muito e adorou. Tem bom tamanho e pra quem gosta de acampar é perfeito. É um ótimo corta vento. Embora pareça ser sintético é um material mais parecido com "plástico", o que faz dele um acessório levíssimo.

Me gustó bastante, grande, el material se ve de calidad, espero dure bastante, no le pongo ningún pero y además trae su bolsita para guardar eso si debe ir bien doblado para que entre.

Kept me and my backpack dry in moderate to heavy rain showers while walking the Camino de Santiago. Made from heavy duty material, yet wasn't too heavy to carry in my backpack. Folds up easily into it's own bag. Poncho did have a weird smell when first unpacked, but this soon faded. Cleaned up well at the end of the walk and is ready for the next adventure.
