When my wife said she wanted a scrub-free, continuous cleaner installed in the toilet tank, I told her I had been there and done that. I refused to put tablets in the tank. She insisted, so I searched for a solution. First, I tried one that hangs on the rim. The scent was pleasant, but it still required regular cleaning under the rim and above the water line. It is more of a bleach scent. I normally sit about 8 feet from the toilet. It was overpowering enough to make me sneeze. After a month or so, I've gotten used to it, and it doesn't bother me anymore. I don't even notice it. I'm a little concerned about having these fumes around all the time.It does cause the tank top to shift forward and hike up in the back. At first, I thought it was going to be a problem. It's okay.I've installed it on three toilets. All three are a little different. All installed quickly without a problem. It's cheap, simple, and effective. It seems to be the ideal delivery system. I suppose it could be used for other things besides bleach.

Working really well to keep a not often used bowl clean. Lasts for a long time. About 8 months for the less used toilet and 3-4 for the most used one. Keeps it cleaner much longer. The only downside is that being this does not fill the tank and is only used to fill the bowl its not hitting the entire bowl when you flush. Also it can lower your bowl fill rate a little just from the pass through. A good working toilet wont notice it but if you already have a slow filling toilet that needs new internals then you might notice it. Great product. Will continue to buy the tabs.

Three main pointsI have one of these systems on Al of my toilets at home however,(1) I don’t like the smell it smells like bleach and chemicals (fyi I just replaced the disk with a bleach disk because of the smell)(2) it is very easy to install the plastic is not hard but it’s a medium grade plastic(3) it does clean the toilet we live in a home new construction area and see a lot of dirt and debris in our toilets but this system has done. Wonderful job of keeping the bowl clean (minus the occasional after potty stains)All in all it’s work the money, ( minus the smell)

Game changer! Tried one for a month before putting in all three bathrooms. Its been two months and still have not needed to clean the toilet because of smell or water marks in the bowl. Now have them in all three toilets in our home. It is so easy to install. Haven't had to replace the tablets yet so I would say they last a long time. It fits on the back of the tank like intended without interference.

It works okay, but it really stinks. It's not even that nice clean bleachy smell. It's more like a locker room smell--kind of gross smell. I had to take it out when our guest hinted that it smelled bad.

I am VERY impressed with the Kaboom system. I followed the directions and cleaned the toilet thoroughly before installing the system. I have not had to clean the toilet in three months. Even the underrim stays clean. There is a slight chlorine smell when you flush the toilet but I can live with that.

I was skeptical when I bought this five years ago, both because of the price and the “too good to be true” claims. We use the Kaboom system in all three of our toilets, and it has worked reliably ever since. Unlike competitors, it doesn’t produce a strong odor, the tablets last, and the system only uses product when the toilet is flushed—no waste. The only downside is the cost, but cheaper brands come with too many complaints. For now, I’ll stick with Kaboom.
