would this be appropriate for a 9 year old girl?

Yes I bought it for my daughter (who is 17) years ago. She has since moved onto a different one. I loved it so much that I know use it. It's a warm fruity smell that isn't over powering. It definitely isn't trashy. So yes I would buy if my daughter was 9.
