Drain your tub, clean filters, clean tub, fill tub pour bottle in and then test your alkalinity. I hated sitting in a highly chlorinated tub because my skin would be a little burny and tight afterwards and we always had to scrub to get it off. I also have experienced horrible hot tub rash (foliculitus) from other peoples hot tubs and are terrified if I don't smell chlorine before I get in. We even have resorted to taking test strips on vacations to test the water before we get in. Anyways, we were getting ready to drain the tub and clean it and i found this product on Amazon. Yeah it's expensive however, we did exactly what the woman in California who works for Spa Marvel said to do and BAM no tight skin, no scrubbing off chlorine on our skin. We have wonderful, soft, clean, no hot tub rash water!!!! We soak every night for 25 minutes except when it's below 20. We are in Iowa and this stuff is the bomb!!!! Bad reviews means you did not follow the exact directions. We have 2 sets of filters one in and one cleaned and dry and rotate on a 2 week basis. Yep Spa Master you rock!!!!! Get this!!! Call the lady!!! Get soft, fab soaks without even having to shower after. We don't share our hot tub...Not enough room haha.

We bought our first bottle of Spa Marvel Water Treatment and Conditioner at the end of December. We had just purchased our spa earlier that month but after just a couple weeks, we were getting rashes and bumps. I heard about Spa Marvel and thought we'd give it a try. A couple weeks later, it hadn't made much a difference, the water felt silky, but we were still itching and getting bumps. I contacted Spa Marvel and one of their support agents, Tim, responded to us right away. From our answers to his questions, we were able to determine that we either had a buildup of chemical residue (from overshocking and the acids used to lower the ph) or even possibly bacteria, since even new spas can harbor contaminants from water remaining in lines when the factory wet-tests them. He recommended decontaminating it, which was super chlorinating it and maintaining a 20 ppm reading for 72 hours then draining and refilling it. Throughout the whole process, Tim was right there to help us every step of the way, answering any questions we had immediately. And in the following weeks after we refilled it, he checked in about every week to see how everything was going. He provided us with a wealth of information and so many helpful suggestions. Since we refilled it and started over, our spa has been perfect and our family hasn't had any issues. I'm so glad that we contacted Spa Marvel and were able to have all the issues we were having resolved. Even though we were testing the water religiously and the levels were good, there was a lot we didn't know about and things we were doing wrong, being first time spa owners. We were worried that we weren't going to be able to use our spa and almost regretting buying it. But thanks to not only the Spa Marvel products, but to all of the help from Tim, we're now able to enjoy our spa and are loving it. He truly went above and beyond and Spa Marvel exceeded our expectations.

I've found Spa brand cleanser and conditioner to be the best option for my hot tub. With weekly maintenance it helps maintain clean and soft water without being harsh on my skin. I completely clean and condition when I replace the water twice a year. Although I use the spa almost every day year-round, it stays in good condition.

I've been using it for multiple months, and I have only good feedback on it. My skin became really different after switching to Spa Marvel Water. One other thing that I noticed, is absence of the bromine sense. I track closely all the chemicals spent in my SPA. And I know for sure that I dissolve the usual amount of bromine tablets in the SPA. However, with this product, the bromine scent (which is usually very distinctive) cannot be detected. I have no idea how exactly it works, but I'm sure that my water have enough disinfectant. The product says, you need to change water every 3 months. It's a best estimation, not a hard milestone. The conditioner feature of this product SEEMS to degrade faster when you use high temperatures and water streams. So, based on your usage, you may need to change the water more frequently. We use our SPA about 2-3 times per a week, and 3 month timeline seems to be a good target. When I started to sense the bromine smell, it was about 3 months since the water change. So, I just changed the water with no doubts. One IMPORTANT thing about using the product. It was a thing that nearly stopped me from using it. The product content by itself HAS NOT CLEAR COLOR. It is white-cloudy. When you pour it into your SAP, the fresh crystal-clear water in the SPA will become CLOUDY. It may, or may NOT resolve. Checkout my experience below. On the first try, I ordered this product directly from the manufacturer, but the season has ended. So, I dumped all the water from the SPA and waited for about 6 months before starting using the product. When the time was right, I filled the SPA with the freshwater and added the product into it. Immediately, I've realized, that there was a solid residual in the bottle. Not only the content was claudy, there were solid particles in it! I hoped my filters will take care of it. And they did to some extent. The water was soft and good, but the water stayed to be slightly cloudy. Nothing could have fixed it until the full water change. On the next try, I learned my mistakes. I ordered the product from Amazon and used it right away. First, I poured the content into a clear glass to examine the state. Indeed, it was cloudy, but there were no solid residue. Good! Then, I was taking small amounts of the product and mixing them with a lot of water from the SPA (an intensive shaking of a bottle gives you a perfect mix). This is how I added all the content into the SPA in a "premixed" state. And I got the situation that you can see on the first two attached images. Yes, they look very weird. Not many people would want such a result. But the filtering process and water heating did its job: within 5 hours the water became clear (the last image). Now, I again have a soft water with no bromine smell. And this time it's crystal-clear. Keep in mind, that all SPAs are different. For instance, my SPA cannot filter the scum on the water surface. It's a design flaw (I knew what I was buying, nobody to blame). Thus, it takes more time to take care of anything that is floating on the surface. There are better models that can efficiently deal with the surface scum, they may cleanup the water much faster.

Great product. I was having issues balancing the chemicals in my swim spa and spa Marvel helped balanced this issue. Used less chemicals after using this product.

Ive just received this and the listed filter cleaner was not included. Very disappointed.

Works great

This is just a short term rating so far. First the tub is a Canadian Spa Co. Swift Current portable spa that is inside a insulated spa house in the yard so is covered all the time. Second only my wife and I use it mainly me on the really cold days in Winter we are in Canada. The tub we have has a recirculating filter pump that runs 24/7 is very energy efficient and filters the water continually. I bought extra filters and change them every Sunday. I normally use the spa once a day for 30 minutes and sometimes twice. We use only bathing suits that have not been washed with any kind of detergent just hot water. I was using firstly Chlorine then switched to bromine sanitation but both times bad skin rashes showed up plus the ph and the alkalinity and hardness and sanitizer levels were all over the place. Switched to Spa Marvel 5 weeks ago and only use non chlorine shock every Sunday after filter change and 1 small Bromine puck in floater at the same time. Result , rash gone, beautiful crystal clear water with the ph and other test levels stable with no messing around with other chemicals. The water feels soft on the skin no prickly feeling and there is absolutely no smell. Like I said only 5 weeks in but so far love this product it is working for my situation don't know how it would work in a party spa situation. I will report in another couple of months in how it is working out but right now I love this product.
