Good amount to buy,good product to buy if use pomade .

First time using this. The hold is great so far and doesn't leave hair stiff. So far, no flakes either. It survived my motorcycle helmet so far. The smell is spectacular! I would describe it as pineapple orange. Smells like I should be on vacation 😄

Explanation- I have reviewed no less than 20 pomades, I can no longer review on how they hold. I can now only review on their hold and their smell and this is how I will review them, solely on smell because everyone's hair is different and each pomade can have a different application.TEXTURE- is waxy and may have a Light holdSMELL- not overbearing but does not smell "manly", it smells like artificial coconutEvery pomade needs to be tried by the individual

This Cantu "pomade" seems to be the only product that my hair really likes to keep it soft and conditioned. I put "pomade" in quotes because, let's be real, this is hair grease. The description does not do a good job of specifying that this is a thick, oil-based leave in product used of conditioning the hair and scalp. For me, it is exactly what I wanted, but if you're hoping for a cream or something g water-based, this is not for you. I have very thick hair that's prone to dryness. When I use this product In a twist out, my hair comes out feeling soft and healthy. It's a little frustrating that it's so hard to find this product near me, so the convenience of being able to purchase and receive it within a couple days on Prime, outweighs the fact that it's almost half the price in a store (if you can get your hands on it). I will note that the product seems a little thinner/runnier than usual. I hope the formula has not changed. In the past, this product was thick enough that if I dropped the open container it would not spill, but my most recent purchase is runny enough to spill out of the container. Just a heads up. Still, overall I love this product and am happy that it's available here!

The hold is not as strong as I would like. Only for a short period of time. Because of the shea butter, the hair looks a little greasy.I do like the ingredients, and the smell, and the texture.

Good product for the money

Good product. Has oil of some sort but not greasy.
