White Rice, Instant White Rice for Quick Dinner Meals, 28-Ounce Box

Minute Rice has been a pantry staple since I was a kid. I keep it on hand for quick sides or mix ins for dinners and for anytime my dog has a tummy upset and needs rice to make him feel better quick. Huge box for the price, high quality, and easy to make. Box was sealed and rice fresh, keeps for ages but I so switch it over to a jar with a sealed lid to prevent spoilage.

I have used Minute Rice for years and I love it. This was a HUGE box for a great price so awesome value. I use it in casseroles and a Swedish meatball recipe but also as a side. I have added cheese to it and even use beef onion soup with it to make a yummy side dish. I like it plain with butter and salt, too. It is easy to fix and always turns out well. I have cooked with regular rice and I always end up with a sticky, tasteless mess as I am impatient so Minute Rice is a much better choice for me.

Very nice and easy to prepare. Very fast and simple. Taste is good, no different to me than longer cooking rice.

I’m a lazy cook so minute rice is always my go to. I like that i can make it last minute (always forget the rice) and it’s done quickly and taste great.

We have this on our subscribe and save list so we get multiple boxes each month - the price is good and my husband eats a lot of rice due to having kidney disease - it has no sodium. Because of the design of the box that the rice comes in, rice leaks out of the seams. I bet if I went into the grocery store I'd find rice on the shelf next to these boxes - and perhaps the other brands of rice too. I don't necessarily want them to put the rice in plastic bags inside the box, like cereal, as we all know what happens after the first pour - then you've got rice at the bottom of the box, between the box and the bag. If they'd just put some clear tape along the seams on the box it would solve everything. But back to the rice, it cooks up fast and easy, I'd never go back to non-instant rice - it's generally cheaper, but I figure I'm using more electricity to cook it and then it's more time -- minute rice it is for this house!
