DixieHeavyweight Plastic Spoons White, 100 ct by Dixie

Whoa. This is what I'm talkin' bout!Before I ever ordered these, I was using "heavyweight" teal colored spoons of decent price, because I love color that much. And now I see what a fool I've been.Those teal heavyweight spoons? They scooped up very little at a time, and the whole utenil can do a backbend on command...These Dixie Heavyweight plastic spoons are actually, genuinely, very heavyweight. These suckers barely bend when you try to bend them. The quality is excellent.The actual scooper part of the spoons are curved perfectly with strong, high walls, which make these perfect as soup spoons as well as cereal spoons and anything else.If you are an eclectic art student in a tiny, bare dorm room or apartment, don't hesitate to use these for your Sculpture class assignment. These would beat my empty plastic bottles and cardboard toilet paper roll-sculpture thing, every single time.(That's the beauty of being an art student in NYC. No one looks twice if they even look at all, at really strange looking people, situations and things. I felt right at home on the subway, protecting a 4 ft. high "abstract" sculpture of recyclable limbs. Haha.)Oh. I forgot I was reviewing spoons for a second as I reminisced about one guy's Sculpture project... it didn't go over too well, and he eventually had to turn himself in to the cops. A harmless project ended up creating an eerily malicious threat at the 9th Street station. (He placed black boxes with the word "FEAR" pronted on them, while he took pictures of strangers, looking oblivious, as the box sat under their bench.... The issue was, this dumb guy left the boxes behind. In a major subway station, with a cop station in it.Long story short, word got around, transportation was halted for many hours on one of the biggest subway stations in the city, and this creative student ended up on TV, for an interview I believe.Sigh. That's experimental sculpture art for ya.It was a year after 9/11, when there were still cops carrying major hardware on every street corner. I've seriously never seen such big rifles and guns in my life. It was a bit intimidating.Oh right. The spoons. They're great. Get them! Hands down the most durable and practical disposable spoons I've ever tried.Two thumbs up.

Worked as described and was much stronger than I expected. I usually buy them in bulk in the wholesale clubs, but decided to give this a try and surprisingly it worked just as well as those ones.I was very worried they would just break in half and nope, not a single one.The only difference I noticed was that these are deeper.

great quality and good money spent. we buy it all the time for our company as we have many sales and techs here on and off. i like the quality of this brand

for ice cream, that sort of thing. I had to set out a largish party with ice cream and so on, and the last box of spoons was empty. These aren't exactly the same as the last, but seem to be about as durable. None snapped in use that I heard about, and with excited kids, you don't want broken plastic being waved about. I went with Dixie just because it's a recognizable brand name. That is, a little less likely to be made of inferior materials or questionable chemicals.I will note that this box was shipped in a padded envelope that wasn't padded enough to keep the box inside from getting beat up. But as far as I can see, the spoons themselves were OK. I'd rate these as being as good as any and better than most.

We needed soup spoons for an event but couldn't find them locally. These are nicer than any plastic soup spoons I've seen in the past. The package arrived on time.

Third time ordering, never know if I'll get teaspoons, or soup spoons.

The item pictured is not the item I received. While extremely similar, I already had some of the item pictured and wanted more. The spoons I got are not quite the same so I will not be able to use them together. Also, I prefer the others that I already had so I was disappointed. I will likely return these.

They scoop stuff like they should and they're the right size. Nothing negative to say but it's hard to think of positive things to say, lol.
