My Go-To Fuel for Training and Racing – Huma Gels are a Game Changer!
I've been using Huma Gels for a while now, and I can honestly say they’re my go-to nutrition source during both training and races. The texture is smooth, the flavors are delicious (no artificial aftertaste!), and they provide a quick yet lasting energy boost that I rely on every time. What really sets these apart is how effective they are at preventing cramps and keeping my energy steady. Whenever I see someone struggling with cramps during a race, I always pass out a Huma Gel. The difference is immediate – they work fast and keep you going for the long haul. It’s a small act of kindness, but it always feels great to help someone push through with the support of such an awesome product.Highly recommend Huma Gels to anyone who needs reliable, clean energy for endurance sports. They’ve become a key part of my racing and training routine.

Good Clean Energy for Endurance Running
I’ve been using Huma gels for over a year and a half & have no plans to stop anytime soon. The flavors are natural, the energy sources are clean & efficient, texture is easy on the stomach & easy to ingest while running. Price point is good enough for me to use for training & competition too which is a plus when you consider other brands like Maurten that are just as clean but harder to sustain that $$$ during long training blocks. I have a fast metabolism & have never had any issues while taking huma gels. As a runner in Miami, FL & after a consult from my dietitian I have switched to huma+ gels from the original to keep my electrolyte intake up. I love all of the flavors, especially the new oranges & mangoes!I’ve recommended it to many runners with a similar palette & metabolism to mine & have seen many of them switch over from brands like Gu & PowerGel. 10/10 recommend giving it a try to see if it’s the right fit for you.

Great gels that go down easy
I'm a regular runner and use a lot of gels and chews for long runs. Trying to stick to products with natural ingredients cuts down the options quite a bit. The vast majority of energy gels out there are just lab produced sugars and who knows what. I'm not a chemist and don't want to have to be to understand what I'm putting in my body. Huma gels completely solve that problem for me. They're all natural, taste good, go down easy, and never bother my stomach. They are by far my favorite energy gels.I use the PLUS gels during my long runs and marathons to help give a little extra electrolytes, so I can avoid Nuun or other sports drinks during the run. Normally, I use the standard Huma gels on most runs.If you've ever been on a long run and choked down a Gu gel, you know how thick and pasty some of the other gels can be. They almost make you gag trying to get it down. Huma gels are never that way for me. Even when it's really hot and I am tired, they're quick to consume. They're almost the consistency of apple sauce. So, not runny, but not a thick gel either. Easy to use on the run without getting sticky goo all over your hands.Highly recommend the Huma products for any runner to at least try.

My runs are powered by this stuff. Doesn’t upset my stomach, tastes great, and am planning to use them for my first marathon in November

A bit more more than other brands, but a GREAT alternative
I am picky with my gels. I can't stand those that are two thick. Maybe they have better flavors, or more sodium, or potassium, or carbs, or whatever. For me, the thickness of the gels is a 100% deal breaker. I am also not a fan of gels that overpower you with flavor. I would prefer more neutral or muted flavors. My go to gel and flavor used to be Powerbar tangerine (orange was just to much orange), but then I found the "orange dream". But even with Powerbar, you take to many (how many depends on the event) and my iron stomach would bit off.In comes huma, referred by a friend. Read the backstory, like it. Like the goal for a bit more natural, like the claims for easy on the stomach, though I never really had GI issues.Pros:- great flavors. Not a big fan or mocha and chocolate, but in a variety, I'll eat those.- easy on the stomach, never once has issues with it.- the new flavors, love the direction and interested to try them out. Saving them for a 100k coming upCons:- not as easy imho to open as some others- not as easy to squeeze out the top. Its like the hole needs to be bigger, or they need the gel to be a bit thinner- yes its easy on stomach, but it doesnt seems to pack the punch/boost I would get from Powerbar. Not a deal breaker, but an observation- more expensive- they are not as thin as I would have guessed. Yes more than Gu, or Hammer, but the Powerbar is still more smooth.Seems like more cons, but they are quite minor. These are my go to gels. for ultras, I do still bring some powerbar, and mix them in, but its primarily huma and TailwindUpdate: 05/19/2017This is still my go to gel. Love most of the flavors. Really like the two newest once. Still not a fan of the rip top I wish the mouth area was a bit wider to allow the gel to come out quicker/more volume. That would change it to 5 stars for me.

It's really good!
I was bummed when they discontinued the Black Berries & banana. This definitely made up for it. It taste really good. It's definitely apart of my marathon training fuel routine.
