I ordered this for a children's event and was very excited when it arrived. Unfortunately, I tried putting it together but got stuck on step 3 for almost 45 minutes! Right when I thought I was just useless, I realized the piece had been welded backwards and it wasn't my ineptitude...but a mistake with the provided pieces. Even though I purchased through amazon, I decided to reach out to the company. The young lady that answered the phone went above and beyond to try to help solve the problem (unfortunately they did not have the part). However, she assisted with getting me in touch with Amazon so that I could exchange the machine for another one. The new one arrived and worked like a dream! It is able to shave the ice quickly. It only took a few minutes to have the machine almost a third of the way full! Clean up was very simple and the storage bin is nice!

You will be the coolest grandma EVER with this machine... it does everything it says it does, and more! The ice shredding is so fast, that 4 grandkids couldn't keep up! I did order additional syrup flavors, straw, cups - because the kids intend to give FREE snow cones to my neighbors! I have to admit, that I did lay plastic wrap down on the bottom, and stick a bowl in the machine so that I could use it for myself to just have a small snow cone at night! HA! That way, I don't have to worry about any cleanup... just dump the small amount of drainage water from the bowl in the morning! I especially love that it can be disconnected from the cart to sit on tabletop or picnic table, so I can give it to others to use very easily!

I loved how cute this machine was and we were able to slide it for one party. We made about 20 snow cones with it then. After that, it started making a weird sound, and would stop shaving ice. I thought maybe the blade had already dulled so I was able to change it with the replacement blade provided. I followed all the instructions carefully and it still made the same sound. My guess is the motor malfunctioned somehow. So if you feel it’s worth the price for one party, I’d buy it! But after that, just know it might malfunction. We were having a party where I promised snow cones to the kids when it just would not work anymore, so I threw all the ice in my Ninja blender and it chopped it up just as well and everyone was happy! I would never buy one of these again.

This is a very cute retro-looking item, and it does a great job creating lots of shaved ice. It appears to be sturdy and well built, and was fairly simple to assemble. My 8 year old granddaughters REALLY wanted it, so I got it for their birthday. It does not come with any syrups or accessories, which must be purchased separately. Even though on the surface, it appears as if this is a good gift for a child, it really is not. The blade in the ice reservoir is basically a razor blade, and would easily cut you if you're not careful, and of course, it is electric, so must be plugged into an electrical outlet. It is great, as long as its operation and maintenance is left to responsible adults. The other negative is that if you have any leftover ice shavings, it is kind of a pain to remove them from the box. The easiest way was to remove the upper section from the cart, and dump the excess ice and water into the sink. This item is better suited for making lots of snow cones, like for a kid's party, and not so much for a one-off snow cone. Too much work for only one or two. That said, it does what it is supposed to do, and does it well. As long as you understand it's limitations and precautions.

Once assembled, it's a little bit larger than I thought it was going to be however, I wouldn't change a thing. It is easy to use fairly quiet and easy to clean. It is definitely meant for adults to use not children because of the blades inside of the top used to shave the ice. It was a hit in the summertime at all of the parties. It comes with some flavor bottles, and it brought me back to my childhood with great taste to the snow cone.

Ordered this for my kids. They loved it! They sold snow cones for $1. Very fun, easy to use and clean. Shaves the ice good if you like crushed ice you can also use it for that as well! Definitely worth it!
