Best scale to measure and motivate
Love my Garmin S2. I have two of them. One at my house and one at my sister's when I stay there. Long as you have good wi fi and blue tooth. It's perfect. I use it every day. I have the Garmin blood pressure monitor, the bicycle computer, the bike peddles that give power results and a bike rear light with radar detection . Why because it motivates me to measure my results. Rode my bike 2200 miles in 2025. These devices show results. Measurehhh to Motivate. Everything becomes historical data in my Garmin Connect App. Happy with the accuracy of the scale its readability.

Not sure about all the problems people complain about
When I buy a new product like this scale I look through the online reviews. I usually start with 1 star and then look through the others higher reviews. I noticed thst this scales one star reviews complain about WIFI connectivity, set up difficulty and then there are extensive reviews on the accuracy of the BMI and other measurements. I just opened the scale 15 minutes ago, put the batteries in the scale, it immediately paired on the first try with the Garmin Connect app on my iPhone. I then connected to my home WIFI with no issues on first try. The scale took about 10 minutes to up date its internal software. I stepped on the scale and it ran through its first calculations. They are pretty spot on. I’m replacing this with a fitbit scale so the data all pairs with the connect app. The fitbit scale is pretty accurate and the Garmin scale came back with the exact same BMI and body fat % the FITBit measured. I’ll have to see how it works as I get into shape and if it changes, or if I have additional problems. For now, right out of the box, scale worked flawlessly, and on the first set of measurements, it appears to be spot on with my Fitbit scale.

Inaccurate measures & poor functionality, Absolutly not worth the price, even for Garmin Users
This Garmin Scale did not work at all! Could not get an accurate weight reading, & would span a large range of weights, but would never lock in at a number and record it to the app. the wigthgt readings also seemed very inacurate. Couldnt even get any of the ohter readings like BMI or Water %, because it could never get a reading. I would stand still on the scale, but at no point would it settle on anything. was able to set up the scale, connect to wifi & complete a software update, but could not get it to complete a measure I have a garmin Venu, so wanted to keep in the same ecosystem, but this is also the most expensive smart scale i've come across. At that price, i was expecting it to funciton at the highest level, yet couldnt even do the most basic thing a scale should do. I'm really dissapointed. See attasched video, after a minute, no reading would take, & the scale Showed a roughly 30lb range of weights. & not to share too much about myself, my actual weight did not even fall between the range.

Seamless integration with Garmin Connect; body fat % is way off
I love how the scale integrates with Garmin Connect so I can track weight over time with minimal effort. Some reviews complained about getting the scale to turn on; mine turns on fine. I tap it once, wait for zeros to appear, and stand on it. My biggest complaint, and what made me give this scale 4 stars rather than 5, is the body fat tracking. It is so bad as to be worthless. I'm lean, with abs that are visible but not chiseled. I did a DEXA scan, which has me at 14.2% body fat, which is consistent with what I see in the mirror. The scale, however, shows me at 22.2% body fat. What's more, I've lost ten pounds this year, focusing on lifting heavy, doing cardio, eating at a caloric deficit, and getting enough protein, all for the purpose of prioritizing fat burning over muscle loss. Over this period, the scale shows that I've gone from 22.8% body fat to 22.2% body fat. My starting weight was 195 lbs, so according to the scale, I've gone from 44.46 lbs of fat (.228 x 195 = 44.6) to 43.29 lbs of fat (.222 x 195 = 43.29). In other words, according to the scale, out of 10 lbs lost, only 1.31 lbs was fat (44.46 - 43.29 = 1.31). I didn't do a starting DEXA scan, but this seems very wrong. The fat tracking is so bad that I could give the scale 2 or 3 stars, but I'm giving it 4 because the flaws are in the technology, rather than Garmin's implementation of it. None of these impedance trackers is accurate. My guess is that Garmin has to include one because everyone else has one. Just know that it is completely worthless. It will not give you a correct snapshot of your body fat at a given point in time, nor will it accurately track changes in fat composition over time.

Game-Changer for Tracking Health and Fitness!
The Garmin Smart Scale is hands down one of the best fitness tools I’ve ever used! It goes way beyond just measuring weight — it tracks body fat, muscle mass, water percentage, and more, giving me a complete picture of my health. The accuracy is impressive, and it syncs seamlessly with the Garmin Connect app, making it easy to monitor progress over time. I love how it recognizes multiple users automatically, so everyone in the family can use it without hassle. The sleek design fits perfectly in my bathroom and feels sturdy and high-quality underfoot. It’s motivated me to stay on track with my fitness goals like never before. If you’re serious about understanding your body composition and tracking your health data in detail, this smart scale is a must-have. Highly recommend!

Easy to add into the Garmin Ecosystem
Fast set-up easy to configure. If you're within the Garmin ecosystem, it's a 2 minute setup at most. Bought for the ability to calibrate using a Dexa Scan or other professional measurements. Been using these types of scales for years. Touch it,it's awake and ready to step on and report to garmin connect. I use Training Peaks as well and understand it will sync from Connect. Spent years typing in values from the HRMs of the 80s and other devices. Happy to be able to have IOT take over those chores and have fun training.

Great to augment your Garmin system with this smart scale!
Great way to track your weight, especially if you download the app. Instead of weighing myself and then having to remember it to write it down, it's all at my fingertips in the app. It also provides estimates of muscle, bone, water, etc composition, so if you're into more data stats, it has so much to offer. It also remembers different profiles, so it knows the difference between my husband and me when we weigh ourselves. Great smart scale!
