Highly recommended for people with mild/moderate central vision loss
This is a high-quality product that is a modern, lightweight version of "opera glasses" or field binoculars. They are not for everyone with low vision and they do have a bit of a learning curve. These are most suitable for people who have already had cataract surgery, so their distance vision is as good as it can be. It is also only for use for distance activities such as watching TV or a game. They are not designed for reading, just as you wouldn't use your field binoculars for reading. They are also NOT to be used while walking or driving, just as you wouldn't walk around while viewing through binoculars. I am not sure why there are so many negative reviews, except to say that those who received the item either didn't understand its function or how to use it appropriately--or had a condition for which these were not suitable. If you have macular degeneration or diabetic retinopathy, these can help with watching TV, movies, or shows. Highly recommended by a low vision therapist.

They don't work well with my vision (glasses).

These were well made but did not improve my husband’s ability to read small print. Not due to the glasses but because of his specific eye issues

Focusing mechanism hard to operate
The me. Chanism to adjust the focus is so stiff. That the focus can be adjusted while the glasses are being worn.
