Panasonic EW3901S Large Cuff for Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitors

I bought the Panasonic EW3122S Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor and in that product's description it stated their cuff would fit my arm. Well it did not, and my arm is roughly 13.5 inches. I purchased this larger cuff to see if my blood pressure readings would drop to what they actually are (out of pre-hypertension and hypertension levels). Using this cuff, my readings are right on target for both arms. Granted, I have never had high blood pressure, although on occasion due to daily fluctuations, I have had pre-hypertension in the lower levels, but that was usually soon after eating or exercising. I just like to keep my blood pressure under control since most everyone has someone in their family with hypertension, including most of my family. Not only is this cuff longer, it is very soft on the skin and there is no extensive squeezing. Overall, the cuff just feels so soft on the arm and provides accurate readings with my monitor. For me, this was a great purchase!

This is the best BP cuff I've owned, and I've had several. It has a flexible piece of plastic in it that molds the cuff to your arm while you are wrapping the velcro. I was worried that I would be constantly be putting batteries in it, but I've been using mine at least once a day for months on the original batteries. I have taken it with me to my MD's and it reads within one of two digits of their reading, so the accuracy is great. I travel extensively for work and it comes in a nice compact pouch that fits into a large handbag. Great cuff!

Comfortable. I was getting higher readings than expected with the stock cuff, up to 20 points higher than the readings I got at my doctor's office. When I measured the circumference of my upper arm it was outside the range for the standard cuff. With the large cuff, readings are very consistent with my doctor's. Don't assume because you are an average size guy your arm is not too big for the stock cuff - I'm an office worker, and mine was. My doc pointed out that the stock cuff must fit people down to the smallest woman's arm, so if you are getting higher readings than you would expect, measure the circumference of your bicep and see if you are in the range that needs the larger cuff.

Did not fit the arm had to send it back. It was more of a medium cuff than a large. But if had fit I would had kept it.

Large Cuff for Panasonic EW3901S was purchased to replace the original cuff that came with this unit, and was destroyed by our dog. The blood pressure monitor works accurately, and is simple to use, so we felt fortunate to find a replacement cuff. I am a lady with an average size arm and the cuff fits fine and the machine reads accurately. Don't be intimidated by the 'large' size as it will fit men and women alike unless you are very petite. I would recommend and purchase again.

Working as a nurse in a busy care center, it is impossible to take as many blood pressures as I need on a daily basis with a manual cuff. This cuff works great and it changes out quickly to the smaller cuff, so taking blood pressures on smaller patients is easy. I have used this product for over a year, except this is the first large cuff I've purchased. I like it a lot and would recommend it. It is a little cumbersome, but it is worth it.

The original unit's cuff apparently is not as accurate with an upper arm circumference above about 13 1/2". I found this out through trial and error. Wondering about the variable readings I decided to read through the instruction pamphlet completely. Lo and behold, based on my 14" upper arm circumference, I should use this larger cuff. Using this cuff produced much lower and also much more accurate and consistent readings in tune with my doctor office readings. It's excellent. Didn't like having to pay the extra $26 bucks though.

Did you notice there is a lack of info. on the sale page for this cuff? I did too, but I bought it anyway and returned it the day after receiving it. So here is what you need to know...this cuff is only 2 inches larger than the cuff that originally comes with the Panasonic EW3109W! Says right on the "large" cuff...17 3/4 inches whereas the original cuff says 15 3/4 inches. Please explain how a cuff that is only 2 inches larger than normal is a large cuff? I'm sorry, this cuff is a rip off at 2 inches bigger than normal and not worth $30. I'm sticking with the original that comes with the machine. The overwhelming good reviews on this item is baffling and highly suspicious!
