"Smoke-Less" is tricky wording, but still a hot product.
The first thing I noticed was that this said "Smoke-less" instead of "smokeless". One character, major difference. So I was like "Smrt move mate, got yo-self a cheap knockoff". But thankfully all it knocked off was the amount of work it takes to grill. So yeah, it gets smoke, but not as much as Oliver Queen. I'll say there's "less" smoke in the special mode. Except venison, it almost alerted a red suited hunk on the other side of the country and I thought I might give Bambi PTSD. The one weird thing smoke-less mode does is set the temperature automatically. For an uncivilized pleb like me it works great, but if you want to pretend a single degree will make a difference that mode may not be for you. I'm not chicken to grill up some poultry now. Instead of choosing a temperature, you choose a meat. I know there's beef, pork, chicken (yum), but I think there's 5 options? Maybe fish or something, that sounds like something someone might grill sometime. So far the presets have worked good and cooked fast. As for the X-in-1 settings (What was it again, 5?) I THINK I've used them all. Double clamshell grill is a real pearl. The griddle is 50-50. The bottom side always works but I feel I have to Hulk the top one to make it flat. And it still seems to have a bit of a slant. I keep forgetting about panini bread so haven't made fancy unburnt grilled cheese yet but I figure that one will work fine too. And then there's half-and-half or whatever? I never thought I'd use that but I made eggs and sausage at the same time as a grill and griddle at different temperatures and it was easy-peasy-jungle-breezy. So what you probably all care about; is it SEARendipitous does it do a SEARry excuse of a job? I think it does okay. I've cooked steak on it a few times and it still gets that weird half-zombie color since it's on an electric grill but I think it's a Rare feat for a grill heat up Medium fast and do the job. Well Done, less-smokey! Cleanup's been easy so far. No coating in the food yet. At least, no detectable superpowers and honey still sticks to me so I'm guessing it's all good. I've just cleaned them by hand since This Old House doesn't have a dishwasher so... Yeah. The plates come off and they say it's dishwasher safe so hopefully that's true. Now they're a few weird settings that take some getting used to. Like that it cycles through the settings automatically when it's choosing a cooking mode and what plates to use. Here I was jamming that button thinking "This button is less responsive than a street crossing signal" then after a few weeks of mindless pressing realized the settings moved on their own. Whoa. Like, why not let me speed through the process? Choosing Normal mode the buttons are responsive though. Temperature goes up in 25 degree increments and if you weren't paying attention before each half can be set separately. Cooking has been even, no complaints. And it's FAST. Like 5 minutes for a half pound burger when it's heated up. I burnt the Beef right out of it the first time since the 1-star grill this replaced took over 20 to cook. I still ate it though. Also the drip tray is kind of weird. It's still magic to me how it gets down there since it's like, in the middle on one side. But SOMETHING'S getting in there and it ain't something I'm about to mix in with my evening cocktail. But yeah, even with some of the weirdness this might be the best grill I've had so far. Definitely better than what it replaced. Give it a go and maybe if enough people buy it they'll come out with a doughnut attachment. Or a meat doughnut attachment, I'd be fine with that too.

Love this Griddler!
We had the previous griddler model, from Cusinart, and it kept getting grease around the heating elements, and there was no way to clean it,and we love the Griddler especially to cook our bacon on! When the grease got too bad around the heating elements , we would have to replace it. We went through about 3 of the previous models. Once again it was time to replace it and we found this model. This is a major improvement and there is no grease around the elements at all. They improved the plates so it directs the grease to the drip tray which is awsome! Plus the prop up feature in the front directs the grease into the drip tray and not on to the heating elements. Huge improvement! works perfectly, easy to clean , awsome little griddler…Highly recommend!

Surprisingly good!
WoW! I am a believer! Tried this hesitantly with some steaks...wow ! The steaks were great! Pros : I like that I can remove the metal cooking plates. The temperature selection (poultry, seafood, meats) was spot on as well. Not too heavy either. Cons : I wish there was a lock of sorts when storing it, but other than that it's great!

Great product with a little learning curve.
I love this griddler. They only thing I don't like is the operating system. It's a little difficult to use at first. Would recommend the dial version. But it seems so far to cook beautifully and fast. About 7min for 1/4 lb burgers. I've made steak, burgers, paninis and other things. I really like that the griddle plates can be switched and that it opens all the way so you can use one side or the other. It does stay hot for a little while when finished and off. But for me not a big deal. Easy clean up. I would recommend this unit. The smokeless feature works some what. It's built solid enough. One small quirk because plates are easily they tend to not be clicked into place all the way when starting probably due to cleaning an storage. They just need to be pushed in place before starting I've caught this at least twice.

Best Kitchen Appliance – A Must-Have!
This is hands down one of the best appliances in my kitchen. I love using it for making paninis—it heats evenly, is easy to clean, and feels super durable. A must-have for anyone who loves quick and tasty meals!

make life easier
I upgraded from a previous model of this line and the uses the same plates for cooking. Love this model. I use it every few days whether doing waffles, grill cheese sandwiches, plus types of grilling. then the plates are put into the dishwasher for easy cleaning. My husband is 82 and loves the ease of use.

Loving it so far!
I'd been considering an indoor grill for quite some time, and this one has not disappointed. I'm not sure I'll use it as a panini press, but I've found it quite useful in its other modes. It heats up fairly quickly and there seems to be a very good distribution of heat from the elements. The digital selection of temperature makes it easy as can be. I've used both sides of the plates so far to grill steak, sausages, shrimp, pork. They've all turned out quite well. I did notice that the ends of the steak showed raw at the center, where when I inserted a probe thermometer, the actual center was already done. So, a little sear directly to the ends was what was needed. Not a huge deal, but something for myself and others to keep in mind. The griddle side works great for pancakes, and there's room to have multiple pancakes cooking at the same time, without the worry of trying to avoid a hot spot (which I have to do on my coil stovetop - I'm in an apartment, so the stove isn't my choice). The only other thing I've tried so far on the griddle plates are grilled English muffins, which also turned out great! The availability of the unit folding out to double the grill space is quite nice vs one that just hinges up like my old Foreman grill. I've actually used this more in the month I've owned it than I was expecting to when I bought it.
