Upgraded from an alternative brand's battery powered saw. The Skil Saw is always consistent with power output and cut accuracy. Highly recommend for beginner to advanced projects.While saw has some weight to it, it's easy to maneuver and handle, and gives confidence in each cut. Solid quality feel to saw and know that this will be a durable and reliable saw for years to come. I have yet to try different blades on it, nevertheless, expecting to be a good saw overall.

It's a five star for me and should for any DIY'er . It does anything you need ,if you know what your doing you can make every cut that any expensive circular saw can.Came with a sharp blade ,it weighs on the heavy side . All in all for the price this is a quality circular saw that came with a framing blade,and it has a built in laser as a bonus. I strongly recommend.

For home owner use, or for occasional professional use this tool is terrific. Plenty of torque. The laser guide is very, very useful. Easy blade changes with the included tool. There is a storage bag which is, again, good for occasional use, but not for loading on and off your truck every day.

Impressed with all features for the price. Wide foot is critical for improved accurate cuts. I had to return a porter cable saw for narrower foot and loose angle pivot causing unpredictable cuts. I had a skilsaw for many years that finally burnt up brushes. I thought I would give porter cable a try, but returned then ordered skilsaw so I am back on track again with predictable performance. You just can't beat this saw for the price. Save yourself time and money. Just order this saw for fuss free tool. I like the improved depth adjustment lever being metal and the laser.

I am a weekend warrior homeowner, so this is used for home improvement projects. It's the third circular saw I have owned in my lifetime, and I like it the best. My old one is not accurate any more and I only trust it to cut up stuff for the trash. I bought this one last summer to build a porch/deck and used it almost every day for a couple of months. I love it. It's nice and light, the laser line is accurate and super useful, it's pretty quiet, and it just fits in my hands well. I resisted buying a cordless saw, as my projects are all within reach of a power outlet, and this gives this saw plenty of power. I cut countless joists, composite deck boards, and trim pieces without a lot of fatigue because it is so light, and the rubbery handles give a good grip. Even though it is light it feels hefty and sturdy and well made. I was able to quickly and accurately adjust the depth and miter angle. I recommend.

For the price point outstanding circular saw. Used it extensively in a recent remodel, even cutting concrete pawers (with the right type of blade) without any problems. Well built with plenty of power. Highly recommend.
