Like others have said, this is a very sturdy and well-made product. The thickness of the metal and overall solidness are impressive. I have only used it for a few days but it has not budged even slightly when I put almost my full weight (220 lbs) on it when using rings. Installation was a little trickier than expected. In order to attach it solidly you need to find a stud, and the heavy lag screws that are used to attach it have a hex head, so you'll need a socket wrench to drive them. This makes sense, the screw you need will be too heavy to drive with a screwdriver. You'll need to drill a pilot hole with 3/16" bit. The holes in the plate that receive the screws are not a lot bigger than the screw diameter, so you'll need to drill carefully. Your best bet is to drill top hole first and screw the top screw in almost all the way. Then you can level the mounting plate and drill the 2nd pilot hole through the opening in the plate. This reduces the chance of drilling the hole in the wrong place. There are no installation instructions shipped with the product, instead you get a url to a website with the instructions, but they are pretty simple. In summary, to install you need a drill with 3/16" bit, a socket wrench set, and a level if you care about having the plate perfectly level (probably unnecessary).

These are worth the money. A quick background. I had ordered other wall mounts. They got lost in the mail. So, I put in an order for Anchor Gym mounts. The other mounts were a lot less expensive. I decided to go with these Anchor Gym, the more expensive option after reading reviews. Lo and behold BOTH sets of mounts showed up on the same day. WHAT a difference. On the cheap option, the box was busted open, the screws were all loose, and the paint was already peeling off. I opened the Anchor Gym order. Each mount was boxed up separately (see pictures). I could feel a difference. The Anchor Gym mounts are super heavy duty. They are not painted. They feel like solid steel. The difference is insane. These are high quality mounts. If you are debating between getting a cheaper version or these, learn from my mistake and buy the Anchor Gym mounts. They are worth the money.

I have been a sports medicine physical therapist for over 19 years and needed to enhance my physical therapy practice. The Anchor Gym H2 was the perfect solution to the needs of my clinic. I needed a versatile anchor which was commercially strong enough for TRX equipment but would allow me to easily interchange it with resistive bands. This high quality anchor was easy to install. I love the fact that it has an open hook with a t-bar which allows me to quickly take a TRX Rip stick off to switch to suspension straps or tubing. The t-bar prevents whatever is hooked around it to not slip off. It would have been a pain if I installed an x-mount instead. We train our physical therapy patients on our "Anchor Gym wall" using 2 H1's, one at ankle height, one at 7 ft high, and one H2 at 4 ft. The mid position allows clients of different heights to do rotator cuff strengthening. We've trained clients including kids, 80 something year olds, obese clients and elite athletes such as gymnasts and baseball players. They all love the exercises that they can do with the simple anchor and bands. I would definitely recommend installing this in a home gym as well as in a commercial gym.

My garage is a multi-purpose area, so I don't have space for bulky fitness equipment. I decided to try these hooks with resistance bands, and I am thrilled with this compact solution! This product is a superior quality, thick metal, extremely solid with heavy-duty welds. When mounted to wall studs, the hooks can take aggressive pressure from resistance band exercises. I have seen a version of this product that has only one hook. I opted to not get that version because it only attaches with two lag screws. I wanted the added stability from three lag screws in the two-hook model. After using the product for several months, I find the two-hook model is a bit of overkill for my current level, which is less than 30 pounds of resistance and no body weight. However, there is much room to improve, and I am convinced the solidness of this product will allow me to push for heavier resistance and add some body-weight exercises. Another advantage to the two-hook version is that it offers a bit more versatility in height for different exercises or users of different heights. I highly recommend this product, and if I ever move house, would definitely repurchase!

What can go wrong? These things are heavy and thick. They install easily and come with the installation hardware. I have a feeling I could have gotten something similar for a little cheaper, but these are made for the elastic band gym use, and they are perfect for that purpose. I can't regret the purchase, they look really good and I have confidence they will last forever.

These work really well. I have them attached to a stud in my basement that is in a workshop area. They hold well. I bought a set of three (was worried about the price) because I have to do band stretching from above, below, and at my waist. Turns out they were well worth the money, but be sure to secure them well, and be committed to using them.

I saw this in a Dr Ben HIIT exercise video that I now have on my website. It is as sturdy as anyone could ever want or need and even comes with the 3 lag bolts required to correctly install it. I would need a sledge hammer to damage it it is so well constructed. All you need to do is find a good wooden stud in your wall or door jamb, drill a few of the right size pilot holes, and install it with a socket wrench. Took me all of a few minutes, but then I am handy and have loads of quality German and U.S. made tools. Love it and recommend it

Used this to hang a large weight (200kg+) did not budge from the beam it was attached to. Would be perfect for a punching bag or hoist mount

Its perfect and its very strong. but i had to use my own rubber anchors for concrete wall drilling. as it was not provided. it came with only screws and washers.
